Lovely Home for Your NYC Vacation

Hi, traveler :)

Welcome to my NYC home!!

My home has a living room with smart TV plus a new sofa bed where 2 people can sleep. There's also an air mattress in the ottoman that you can inflate for extra guests.

There is a new and fully stocked kitchen if you decide to cook a meal at home! There is a coffee machine and tea kettle as well.

The bathroom has both a tub and a shower so no matter what your preference is, you will be able to do it here.

The bedroom has a queen bed, a very nice Tempurpedic mattress, and very comfortable designer bedding. We truly believe in getting a good night's sleep and we pride on the fact that we provide the correct bedding to facilitate that :)

There is a washer and dryer on the bottom floor of the building. However, we ourselves have been using the new laundromat new door and have been referring them to our guests as they are great and have great prices. Therefore, it makes more sense to use them.

Location & Safety; this is in the middle of NYC and is a safe area. The metro station is 1 block away and also the entrance to the Highline. Surrounded by coffee shops and cute restaurants. Grocery stores and pharmacy also close by. Basically, anything you need is at your fingertips.

Great Spot in Chelsea!

This was a great spot to stay in Chelsea and had a very responsive and helpful host. We got to feel like we were New Yorker's staying in this space and it had everything we needed for a great trip.

Great stay. Excellent location and attractive decor. Would have been even better if the doors between the bedroom and the living room weren’t glass or had blinds. Would have given us more privacy.

This place is small but great. It’s tastefully decorated, in a great location, and has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The check in process was different but it’s New York so nothing shocks me. I will stay here again next time I am in the city.

Cozy, quiet, and clean place in a great neighorhood.

If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the city, this place is perfect. Only a block away from the subway and near some great restaurants for breakfast and coffee. The apartment was clean and modern, with all the appliances you need. Its located on the first floor and away from all the road noise. Highly recommend this spot if you want to stay in Chelsea!

Pre-Christmas Weekend in Manhattan

The apartment is a great little place. It's a long, skinny apartment down a long corridor, so fire egress would probably be a challenge, but the place itself is just fine and in a great location. The bath is tight but clean and perfectly serviceable. The bed was firm but just fine. 9th Ave isn't much to look at immediately outside the door, but within a couple blocks the terrific Chelsea neighborhood gives you all its charms. For the price, I would absolutely recommend it. Very clean, very organized, good communication with the owner.

Great Chelsea stay!

We had a great experience at this apartment! The location is amazing and the price was reasonable. The apartment is small, but our family of four (kids 3 & 5) fit just fine for our weekend NYC stay. Nice to have a closed-off bedroom so the kids could go to sleep before the adults—that was our main draw to the apt over a hotel room. Host was communicative. Overall a great experience. Thanks!

Overpayed flat in NYC

We paid a lot for a very small flat. The bathroom was not very clean, and the flat didn’t really have any windows, so we had to rely on electric light all the time. The key was left under a mailbox on the next street, which was inconvenient. We took a flat-rate taxi from JFK Airport, but were charged extra for stopping at two places. Additionally, we didn’t receive any help when we asked for assistance.

Nice appartment

Well located in a quiet neighborhood, grocery store and good breakfast coffee right next door, clean, stylishly furnished, coffee and coffee machine available and a few minutes walk from the nearest metro station. Pleasant host, she responded within a reasonable time and kept us well informed about everything. The apartment is on the ground floor and is therefore a bit dark. Since we used it mainly for sleeping, it was not disturbing.

The property address shown on Expedia is different than the actual address which was only made known by the owner the day before my scheduled stay despite multiple attempts to contact owner weeks/days prior. The address shown is a brownstone in a quiet neighborhood and the actual address dress is in a mediocre kept building in a busy commercial street /area. The owner claims she has made unsuccessful attempts to change the address to reflect the actual location but has not been successful in doing so. I find this unbelievable and intentionally misleading. This warrants immediate attention to rule out fraudulent activity.

Sensitive to Noise?

Overall, the apartment is ok. A bit dark, especially in bathroom as there was only 1 working bulb. The place is small but I guess it is what to be expected in New York. Had I known better I would have splurged a little more on another place. Upon check in, I noticed the sheets were stained yellow and pillow cases smelled as if they had not been washed. The A/C unit in the bedroom had mold and mildew growth, I texted the host and advised them of this. What I found most upsetting was on the last night there I didn't sleep at all, in the apartment above new tenants were moving in, I heard them move all night long. I had initially inquired into this with the host but never received an answer, again should have known better. So, if you are sensitive to noise, do not stay here.
