The perfect mountain getaway! Relax and soak up the sun on the large, south-facing deck while taking in amazing mountain views and listening to the wind in the trees. The view can be seen from inside the cabin’s main living area and kitchen as well. Located in a peaceful, quiet, private location just 20 minutes from Winter Park and very close to the YMCA of the Rockies. Recently refreshed, the cabin is decorated in a rustic but chic ski lodge style.
Inside, the cabin has two bedrooms with queen beds, a pull-out couch, one full bathroom, and a fully appointed kitchen. There is a wood burning fireplace which is the perfect place to snuggle up or roast marshmallows on chilly mountain nights. The cabin is equipped with high-speed internet and smart TV, and all linens, towels, coffee, tea, and kitchen staples are provided. There are lots of details for your comfort from extra coat racks for storage to fluffy blankets to cuddle up under to new pillows and black-out curtains for a great night’s sleep. We recommend this cabin for up to four adults with up to two children. It would be a bit tight for six adults but is doable if that is what you want to do.
Outside, there is a large (425 sq ft) deck furnished with Adirondack chairs, sofa, table for 6, and large sun umbrella, as well as a gas grill and wood burning fire pit. The property is 2 acres, so neighbors are spread out creating a private feel. Enjoy an additional outdoor firepit and picnic table on the property in the summer months.

Traveling with your furry family members?
Our cabin is dog-friendly for up to two well-behaved dogs. If you are traveling with your fur babies, they will love the cabin. There is a dog door to the deck and stairs from the deck to a fenced dog run, so your pups can enjoy the outdoor space at their leisure. We even provide dog dishes for your furry family members. This is a very dog-friendly area in general. In summer, you can take your pup hiking, potentially mountain biking depending on if that works for your pup, and the winter park resort allows dogs on scenic lift rides up the mountain where you can take in the views, hike or play disc golf. In winter, take your pup out snowshoe hiking or try your hand at ski-joring with your dog at Devil's Thumb Ranch or Snow Mountain Ranch. Devils Thumb Ranch rents equipment for you and your dog and also offers ski-joring clinics. In all seasons, most restaurants allow dogs in the outdoor seating areas, and there are a few breweries with food truck service that allow dogs inside.
Please note there is a $50 flat fee per stay for up to two well behaved pets.
A note about winter driving: Our cabin is on a road that is maintained by the county. It is plowed in the winter as is our driveway. It is recommended, and often required by law during snow storms, to have either four-wheel or all-wheel drive or snow chains for mountain travel in winter. You won't need anything other than what you need for normal winter mountain travel to access the cabin. As we are in a mountain area known and sought out for its snow activities in winter, you should expect and prepare for winter driving conditions.
