Cozy Cabin
Enjoyed the place. Spent President's Day Weekend here with my wife and 3 little kids, and dog. Not much going on in Crestline and this time of year, but that's OK it was nice to get away from OC for a change of scenery. The neighborhood was nice, although I did not expect the degree of hills and tight turns, and so many houses packed in between. Was surprised how fast cars were speeding by. We didn't do much, so it was important that the house be comfortable and cozy, and it was. Had everything we needed. Nice large sectional couch, tv, decks, great views. Bedrooms were nice and beds were comfortable. Kids loved the little play area with the teepee. We played some of the games and puzzles which was nice. The heat worked great. The shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. I got to enjoy a run around Lake Gregory along the blacktop/dirt trail- a couple hilly loops is a good workout. Took the kids hiking along the fitness trail. Did a round of bowling. Not much dining options- had breakfast at the Crestline cafe after an hour wait, and then dinner at the pizza joint which was also an hour, but at least had a gameroom to entertain the kids. The shops/restaurants by the lake is super close- 0.3mi and easily walkable. We ventured out west to the downtown "village" which we caught on a nice morning- got smoothies at the Mountain Cravings joint and enjoyed at the outdoor patio garden. I recommend this house and the location for an easy family friendly relaxing getaway.
