Humarock is one of the historic gems of Scituate as well as the South Shore. Once connected to the rest of Scituate by land, the river shifted during the Portland Gale in 1898 cutting off Humarock and Fourth Cliff from the rest of town. Now Humarock is a delightful peninsula connected to the mainland by two bridges.

Great short getaway

Visited Humarock a lot as a kid and love the community there. This home was redone very nicely. Beds are comfortable, all kitchen ameneties needed as well as bathroom, linens and towels. Quick walk to beach, with chairs and towels available. Views of the river are fantastic and plenty to do around the area. We had the best fresh lobster and steamers from local lobster pound and or course enjoyed Bridgewaye for food and drinks. We plan to come back for another break hopefully soon! Thank you! Humarock weekend getaway

5 STARS***** My husband and I just stayed at this adorable property with our 2 kids (5 & 6 years old). Even before we arrived Richard & Karen were amazing hosts, they emailed us a full manual on how to use everything in the house with videos. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We used the beach chairs and umbrella that they provided which was great to not have to bring those from home. The house is located on the cutest dead end street with very nice neighbors all around. We hope to be able to stay here again next year!

We are from the south coast of Massachusetts and absolutely love walking the beach during early mornings and at sunset. Being a host allows us to share the magic of the ocean and our beach community with others, so they can experience the same joy and tranquility that we cherish.

Being conveniently close to Plymouth, Boston, and Cape Cod allows us to easily explore and enjoy the best of both worlds—seaside tranquility and vibrant city life.
