Welcome to La Petite Retreat, a cozy two–bedroom vacation rental located on tree-lined Washington Street in Cape May. If you enjoy being surrounded by nature while still being close to the beach and downtown, this is the property for you!

Who is our cottage best for?
Our charming cottage is perfectly sized for couples or a small family of three or four.

- Retired or romantic couples will enjoy the privacy of the cottage, which sits at the back of the property with lush vegetation in front.

- Work-from-home couples or adults will appreciate the two separate work areas. One at the front of the house and a second corner desk in the smaller bedroom.

- Small families will be equally happy at our cottage. The fully fenced yard, twin trundle bed, kids' dishes and cutlery, and a nearby playground at Kiwanis Community Park are just a few of the family-friendly amenities.

Another great feature of the property is the single-floor living spaces. Unlike most beach houses, the cottage has no tall stairs inside or out. There is a single step between the kitchen and living room to make it easier for the young and old to get inside and around the house.

Inside the Cottage
Inside, you will find two bedrooms (queen & twin trundle), one bathroom, an eat-in kitchen, a small reading room with a desk, and a family room with a smart TV.

The decor has been recently updated with calm coastal colors and new furniture to provide our guests with a relaxing, comfy, and clean environment. Brand-new beds, mattresses, bedroom furniture, a desk, and a Weber grill are just a few of the upgrades this spring. The HVAC system has also been upgraded to include central air and an infrared air-filtration system.

Backyard and Gardens
The absolute best feature of our property is the oversized patio and garden area. Mature gardens surround the yard, creating a park-like setting where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors without ever having to leave your rental home.

Located on historic tree-lined Washington Street, the cottage is a block away from the Physick Estate, which hosts tours, local events, and concerts in the summer months.
