The Tiki Weekend Funhouse - A MidMod Getaway
We are excited to welcome you to our huge, newly-renovated Palm Springs home! This private oasis showcases a resort-style backyard with kidney-shaped swimming pool, spa and spectacular mountain views. This is a true entertainer’s paradise, complete with multiple outdoor dining setups for 8-10, a custom Tiki bar, lounge areas, a natural gas BBQ and fire pit. In the heat of the summer, turn on the outdoor misters and relax under the pergola after a round of bocce ball or cornhole!
4 unique bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms make for a comfortable arrangement for large families or friend groups. Each bedroom has its own work/desk setup and the home is outfitted with Eero wifi boosters, offering property wide wifi coverage, making this a fantastic WFH getaway.
Unique setup with dual primary bedrooms:
- First primary bedroom features an ensuite bathroom, a King bed and opens directly to the backyard.
- Second primary bedroom has a similar setup with direct backyard access, a King bed and an ensuite that can be locked off for the occupants OR can be opened to share with occupants of third and fourth bedrooms, making this an ideal situation for two couples, large families or groups of friends.
-The third and fourth bedrooms both contain Queen beds and dedicated work spaces. All bedrooms are equipped with wall-mounted Smart TV's.
The kitchen has been newly refreshed with brand-new Samsung appliances and brand-new quartz countertops. It comes stocked with everything you need to cook and entertain. The home also features premium amenities, linens and indoor washer/dryer access.
The expansive resort backyard is an entertainer’s paradise! The kidney-shaped pool and Swim-up Tiki bar/spa combo are the center of this lush oasis. Endless entertainment awaits; a gas fire pit with outdoor chairs, a 10-seat oversized outdoor dining table, poolside loungers with cooler/side tables, a gas bbq, bocce ball court, and two cornhole setups for your ultimate cornhole tournament! From almost any angle you can sit back, relax and admire the mountain views & sunsets.
*Please note we are near the airport so you can see/hear the planes during certain hours of the day. We find this entertaining and we hope you do too! WWII planes (from the PS Air Museum) are spotted overhead daily. Please also note that Palm Springs is known to have high winds certain times of the year. The windiest season is April through June.*
Guests have access to the entire home. The only exception is the shed in the side yard, which is currently being used as a storage facility.
HOUSE RULES
DECORATIONS: Only masking tape or painters tape is allowed on the walls. NO confetti or glitter: That goes for outdoor, as well, since the majority of our yard is turf! Any leftover decor, balloons, etc. or damage on the walls or anywhere that is not normal wear & tear will incur an extra cleaning/damage fee taken from the deposit.
POOL: Heating is an additional charge (advance 24 hours notice required to have heat upon arrival). $150 for 1-2 days, $250 for 3-5 days, unless otherwise arranged. Longer stays, please reach out directly for pricing based on current gas rates. We do not charge for the spa usage.
AGE: Primary renter must be at least 25 years old and must provide government issued ID as per the City of Palm Springs.
CHILDREN: We are often asked whether we store cribs but we do not. The house is set up as an adult oasis and is NOT childproof (nor is there a fence around the pool), so you will be responsible for monitoring the safety of your child on property. You also MUST disclose the presence of children upon booking, as they DO count towards the overall head count allowed by the city to stay on premises.
CHECK IN/OUT: You may arrive as early as 3pm on check-in day. If scheduling permits, we may accommodate a complimentary early check, so please inquire for availability. Check out is promptly at 12pm to allow for housekeeping access. Please inquire prior to your reservation date for late check out availability. If available, you may be charged an hourly rate.
PETS: Max 2 house-trained dogs allowed (under 20 pounds only unless OKed by owner). A $250 non-refundable separate “pet stay fee” will be charged. Failure to disclose a pet will result in additional fees. Failure to pick up after your dog in the yard or in the neighborhood will result in a minimum $500 fine. NO CATS ALLOWED, as homeowner is allergic.
CITY OF PALM SPRINGS LAWS are strictly enforced. Violation will risk immediate eviction & fines from the city, as well as forfeiture of any deposits or remaining nightly rates:
NO OUTDOOR MUSIC IS ALLOWED AT ANY TIME: No music is allowed outside or heard outside coming from inside. Music or loud noises may not be heard outside, the backyard or front yard at any time. Respect neighbors with noise levels at all times. This is Palm Springs City law and you will find that this same ordinance is in effect throughout the city.
QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are enforced in the neighborhood after 10 pm. Consider moving indoors after 10 pm. If you choose to be outside, including when entering the home after 10 pm, please be considerate of the neighbors and use low indoor voices.
GUESTS: Max overnight guests are 8, Max daytime guests are 12 (10 am - 10 pm), by city law.
PARKING: Max cars at property are 4 (by law). Please utilize the two-car garage and the driveway/front parking area, as street parking is reserved for neighborhood residents. The garage has an outlet for vehicle charging but guests must bring their own adapter(s).
Absolutely no parties or loud gatherings. This is not a party house. This is a residential neighborhood and must be respected as such. Please know that this is the LAW in Palm Springs and not to be taken lightly.
