Poorly maintained alarms kept us awake all night

We were kept up all night by malfunctioning smoke detectors that sounded for 5 seconds every 15 minutes through the night . We finally stopped the issue found the problem was a detector with a dead battery. The property manager's reaction was to only offer "sorry for the inconvenience" and did nothing more for us having a night of hell. The property manager claimed the battery was changed in February 2024 but the battery shows it was manufactured in 2020!

Not bad. Met expectations for 1 night

Joanne was great. She communicated/responded quickly and was helpful. House had an earlier checkin than most places which we appreciated. There was a mix up with keypad code but Joanne arrived in less than 5 minutes to adress the issue. Someone posted that the door didn’t lock securely but it closed and locked just fine. The roads/streets in the area where terrible! Bumpy, holes, dips, uneven, etc. We kept saying we’ll probably need a front alignment when we left. Besides the roads, our first impression of the neighborhood wasn’t great. It did initially make us question if we’d made the right choice😬. We didn’t know if we’d feel safe; however, we had no issues with any noise, traffic, people, crime, etc. I’m glad we didn’t let our first thoughts detour our stay. When we entered the house we were amazed at how clean, fresh, cute & cozy it was. I’d asked.Joanne if there were ice trays available and she had some there when we arrived. There were pot, pans, dishes, a few simple seasonings, dosh soap/sponge in the kitchen and nasic hotel type toiletries in each bathroom. And iron, small ironing board, and blow dryer(s). The beds were basic and firm. There were plastic mattress protectors, a fitted sheet, light weight comfoter & 2 pillows in tye matching shans that are your sleeping pillows. That plastic mattress protector had me sweating all night for some reason but I still didn’t remove

Short stay in New Orleans

We stayed an additional two nights after our cruise and spent our days in the French Quarter and the National Park Sites. It was an adequate location and relatively close to everything. It was perfect for three people.

Great short stay

We only needed a quick two nights prior to a cruise. We only slept and bathed in the house as we were playing the tourist all day. The house appears to be recently updated and was adequate for the three of us.

Ok

The inside of the house was fine. The beds were kind of hard but it would have been fine for a night. It’s in a bit of an industrial neighborhood. The door didn’t securely lock and the area and houses around the rental were a little questionable. We ended up booking a hotel downtown and not even staying in the rental. My husband didn’t feel safe with our son in the house and the door not locking properly.

Solid Property Choice

The property was clean and met my needs for 2Beds and 2 separate baths. Water flow from shower was good. It’s not fancy nor upscale. I’d say it’s a solid place to stay for 1 Saturday night for me & my son for an NFL game on Sunday. Bed was comfortable and pillows were good. 2 disappointing things were the TV channel options were dated (no streaming or apps) and the Refrigerator didn’t have an ice maker. If you just need a clean, safe place to stay. This is a solid choice. The host was super responsive and graciously accommodated Sunday late checkout so we could return after the game to get our luggage as we couldn’t bring bags to the football game.

After her personal journey to homeownership, she felt compelled to take the knowledge she acquired throughout process and share it with other first time homeowners and investors. Joanne would love to be included in the journey of falling in love with your new home.
