I have used VRBO to book many trips. I have always had exceptional experiences when using VRBO. As you look for your lodging for an Orlando-area vacation, I recommend you keep looking. For the same price point and area, there are many other options.
After booking through VRBO, I was directed to Blue Travel management company. Communication was good some days and delayed other days during the planning phase. The payment process wasn't clear and once payment was made, the balance didn't change on the app/website, and I kept receiving notifications about owing more. After a few more chats via the app back and forth, the information was finally updated.
The location of the property is great. It's close to the Disney area and a bit of a drive to Universal, but that's understandable. Check-in was fine. Our party was given the door code to unlock the door and were told that was the code to get in the gate...the listing says there is a guard at the gate, there isn't, but there is a box to communicate with the guardhouse at the resort. (The property isn't it the main area of the resort, but there is a walking path where you can get to the resort amenities.) The code we had didn't work to get in the gate. My brother, sister and myself all contacted Blue Travel for help with access. My sister was successful in talking with a person who actually responded and didn't just take our name to get back in touch with us. However, the code the lady gave my sister didn't work. We called the resort itself for help and they referred us back to Blue Travel. We went over to the main resort area, and they gave us one pass for two cars. While we were there, several families were dealing with the same issue on using the gate to get back on property.
Once inside the property, there are notices everywhere about rules and potential charges. I have stayed in many rental properties and I understand making sure people know what they are responsible for, etc. I have never seen posted signs in almost every room. My whole family was tense from the start that we were going to accrue more charges. With all the notices about potential charges, I made sure to take photos of things that were already broken and to message Blue Travel immediately because I was worried about our bill (broken dining room chair, chipped dining room chair, broken blinds, broken blender).
If you read my other reviews, you will see a lot of positivity. This one was hard to write.
