6 Star Experience!

Stop searching for other homes and book this one now! With 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, there's plenty of space for everyone. After staying in various places around Ankeny over the years, my friends and I all agree this has been the best one yet. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay exceptional—plenty of amenities, entertainment options, huge TVs, a fully stocked kitchen with extra appliances like an air fryer and crockpot, noise machines in each bedroom, and so much more! The beds are super comfortable, and the showers are fantastic. Plus, the location is perfect, situated in a peaceful neighborhood. We'll definitely be back here in the future!

Great Family Property

Our family with 5 adult children had more than enough space at this immaculately clean home. Lots of fun games and entertainment at the property. Owners were quick to respond to our questions as well. We wish every property were like this one!

Absolutely a dream stay!!

This house blew any other home we have stayed at out of the park! So clean, cute decor and amazing amenities!! They have really thought of it all!! Hands down the best experience. This home is fun and comfortable for those of all ages. Would recommend to anyone and hope to return some day!!

Amazing Place

Our stay at House Divided was phenomenal! The house was perfect for our needs. They even thought of the little things… multi-outlets on each side of every bed, sleeves and holders for the remotes, etc. It made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If our family is ever in the area we will no doubt be staying at House Divided again!

We had a wonderful time! Three generations of family in from out of state for a four-generation family reunion. The house was clean, welcoming, and cozy. We would definitely stay again!

Overall Great Experience

Great communication with property owners. Property had a lot to do with the family. Game room was perfect. Kitchen had everything if planning on making meals at the house! Close to Outlet malls, Adventure Land, and Des Moines. Overall great stay in Ankeny IA.

Fresh, clean, fun and perfect

We absolutely loved this house! As soon as we walked it smelled clean, fresh and inviting. The home is beautifully decorated and stocked with every item you would need for your stay. The kitchen has excellent appliances to use (ninja, kitchen aid, etc) and they even stock the linen closet with extras like toothbrushes, sewing kits and more for your convenience. Such thoughtful extras! The game room is great for kids and adults! Also so clean and pretty for being a converted garage. The basement is set up with family in mind as well with tons of board games, card table, sectional and huge tv for movies. There is even a little board with pockets to put your phones to focus on family time instead of electronics! So smart!!!! The host notified us of an air conditioning issue in the garage before we arrived and had it taken care of first thing in the morning for us! This house is beautiful and clean, fun and conveniently located! The hosts put a lot of thought into making this house feel like a home to their guests. We will definitely be back next year!!!

We created this short term rental home with the premise that we wanted there to be activities for everyone to enjoy and the ability to split up into different areas of the home as you so choose. The term "House Divided" is a play on the rivalry between Iowa State and the University of Iowa. It's a phrase we see often in Iowa when both college teams are being supported under one roof. So, although the theme of our short term rental is "House Divided" we hope you and yours enjoy the place as a house united.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

This location was chosen specifically for a couple of reasons. First, the location provides easy interstate access, from two exits, to Iowa State activities, downtown Des Moines events, and Adventureland resort among other local amenities. Second, the north and east side of the home (the backyard and side yard) will be developed into a 6.5 acre Ankeny city park for future outdoor activities.
