House not Ready for Rental
We rented a 2 bedroom house for Christmas week, Three days before the rental, we received a call saying there was a problem with our rental and would we accept a change to another house 2 doors away with 3 bedrooms and more space for the same price. We accepted the change. When we arrived at the house we found there to be no toilet paper in the bathrooms, no soap in the bathrooms, the kitchen was not adequately furnished (2 bowls, no toaster, 1 medium pan and 1 small frying pan, no garbage disposal, and the refrigerator was not hooked up to water) and the freezer part of the refrigerator was not working, Someone had placed ice in the freezer and it was all melted and spilled onto the kitchen floor for us to clean up. I contracted the host and he relied there should be 8 bowls and they would bring toilet paper, which they did. The sewer line for the toilet and shower in the master bath was plugged so I called the host again. He said he would get someone out that day to fix it. Later that day, he called and said the plumber would be out the next day and that we would have to use another bathroom. The plumber did come the next day, but they wanted to use a high pressure hose to clean out the roots and that would take another day. On the third day the sewer was fixed. Then we found out that a dock was being installed while we were there, so we did not feel we could use the pool or the lanai. The workers would come around 7 AM and start driving poles at 7:30.
