Newly renovated, the interior exudes modern elegance, featuring a chef's kitchen and adjacent dining area that seamlessly flow into the expansive entertainer's deck. With panoramic vistas of the coastline, this outdoor oasis is perfect for al fresco dining, lounging by the gas fire-pit, or simply soaking in the sights and sounds of the ocean. Inside, sliding glass doors blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living, allowing natural light to flood the space and providing uninterrupted views of the sea. The living room is appointed with a gas fireplace, a large flatscreen TV, and plush furnishings, including a queen sofa-bed for additional guests.

The primary suite occupies the entire second floor, offering a sumptuous king-size bed, a walk-in closet, and a spa-like marble bathroom. Absolutely incredible View

The view on the water was fantastic. Fire pit was a nice touch for the cool nights. The house was right around the corner from coffee shops and other stuff yet right on the water which is hard to accomplish. Generally I would say the house was very clean and well stocked with things you might need In the drawers In the kitchen. I would caution and even enters that this house does not sleep more than two couples despite it saying it sleep six there are only two bedrooms but there is a full bath outside the living room where the pull-out couch is. Also there is an extraordinary disparity between the large master bedroom and bath up above with spectacular ocean views and a very small queen size bedroom on the first level which does not have a view.

It’s a 2 bedroom house. The house is old, but well maintained. All the amenities were fine, we had no issues. The house is exactly like what you see in the pictures. Vacasa was very helpful. Overall, a great trip. We enjoyed it. If this is your first time to San Diego, a word of caution. The car rental place is NOT at the airport, but quite a bit far away. You might have to stand in line with your luggage for a long time to get on the free shuttle to the car rental place. I would recommend, just get an Uber to go to the car rental place, instead of standing in line forever. Same thing, when you drop off your rented vehicle. Uber is much better than the free shuttle, you are going to miss your flight, waiting in line.

Easy stay, beautiful home

This home was perfect for 2 couples. The first floor master suite and ground level entrance made it easily accessible/comfortable for my 83 yo parents & the views can't be beat. The upstairs master suite is lovely, spacious, and allows you to fall asleep to the waves every night. Location is in a quiet, walkable neighborhood (they were doing construction on a house a few doors down but it was never bothersome). We barely saw any neighbors and there was no issue with street parking in front of the house. Coffee, wine bar, and several restaurants are within easy walking distance. The house itself had a few minor wear and tear issues (freezer drawer and a pull out cabinet were very difficult to open and close), but nothing that detracted from the experience. My only suggestion to the hosts is to upgrade the outdoor furniture. The balcony/patio is the highlight of the home and where we spent the majority of our time. The fire pit is delightful, but the furniture around it is not remotely comfortable for any period of time. There's also very little shade offered by the small movable umbrella most of the day. A few nice outdoor couches and chairs with more (or a larger) umbrellas would make this home perfection.

Amazing Place, Location and Views!

Pros: The view, the view, the view! Great location about half way between Mission Beach and La Jolla town center Upstairs primary suite is amazing, comfortable and spacious. Absolutely loved the older Speakman showerhead. So nice to actually be able to rinse off the suds with some real water pressure. Well stocked with kitchen utensils and spices Did I mention the view! Parking was easy even though there is no driveway for parking They accept dogs Cons(only minor): Paper products are cheap. When I spend well over a $1000/nt, I expect to have luxury paper towels and toilet paper and not "prison grade" paper products. Even though they accept dogs, there is no real area for them to go. Be ready to walk your dogs 1-2 blocks whenever they need to go out. Overall, I highly recommend this house. Our stay here was incredible. We could have stayed there forever.

Wow! A find

This property is as described or better. The home is beautiful and well laid out. The ocean views are exceptional, including that the house overlooks the surf such that you can easily see the changing tides. And of course there’s the wonderful sound of the waves. The deck has a fire table to sit around if the weather is overcast. It was out of fuel but a call in the morning resulted in a full tank in the afternoon which lasted the rest of our 5 night stay. Neighborhood is very quiet. Plenty of street parking as described. We parked in front of the house every day and our daughter parked right behind us. We are a couple in our 60’s with an adult daughter staying with us. We’ve been fortunate to stay in a number of exceptional properties with VRBO. This one might be the best yet!

Missing wheels on lower rack dishwasher and air filter need to be changed, it's very filthy. Lastly, the outside fireplace meed to be fixed. The drawer will not slide all the way out so you have to pick up the table and role out the tank.

Beautiful bluff views and peaceful quiet neighborhood. We love Bird Rock and this spot can’t be beat. Patio and views are truly amazing- so fun to watch the tides and surfers. The neighbors are very close when on patio but we expected this and it was not a problem for us. House was clean and great for our smaller family - we would definitely go back.

Great stay

We were delighted with our accommodations - great location, well-stocked and well-appointed home. The views are incredible and master suite was quiet and very comfortable. Only suggestion is to let guests know when window washer is coming. It was a bit uncomfortable until we could verify that his presence on the property was appropriate. Would gladly come back and recommend to all.

Wonderful home -- unfriendly seagull

We stayed here last year and loved it. This year the home was still wonderful and the views can't be beat; however, a seagull had decided to lay claim to the roof. It made noise through the night and would aggressively swoop at anyone who went on the upper deck. A bit disappointing, but still a great place.

A perfect view

This home is absolutely stunning. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and I loved the view of the ocean from the kitchen sink. The second story master suite is wonderful. If you’re not familiar with Bird Rock it’s a fantastic community- very quiet and relaxing.

Great beach rental in Bird Rock

The home was very nice for my husband and I. Lovely view, great surf viewing and overall very comfortable and conveniently located. Quiet neighborhood, also nice, and parking never a problem. We had a couple of hiccups on day 1 which were quickly addressed by Morgan. Her response to our concerns was immediate and resolved well beyond our expectations. AMAZING customer service, so thank you, Morgan! Only reason for 4 stars is that it would have been nice to have a better equipped kitchen.

Beautiful ocean front property

I stayed here with my family of 6 for 3 nights and it was amazing! I think our jaws literally dropped when we walked into the house and saw the view. The pictures don’t do it justice. Besides the view, the home was extremely comfortable and was well appointed. We definitely plan to stay at this property again.

The Dolphin House was such a pleasant escape from busy La Jolla and San Diego. The views and balcony were worth every penny!! We ordered in dinner every night so that we could enjoy the sights and sounds of the Pacific. We will stay there again! Love, love, love.

Stunning Views

When you enter the home you immediately see stunning views of the ocean. The outdoor area has everything you need to enjoy a morning/evening listening to the waves. It's equipped with a fire pit and seating, grill and large table with a lighted umbrella. Beautiful chef kitchen with everything you need should you chose to cook. Great location and walkable to Beaumont Resturant, Starbucks, Pizza cafe, Mexican cantina and Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. Plenty of on street parking directly in front of the home.
