Das French Country Cottage - Les Chouettes ist ein typisches Perigoridian-Cottage. Es ist ein restauriertes Bauernhaus. Es bietet eine ruhige Umgebung, ein charmantes französisches Dekor und einen tollen privaten Pool für die warmen Sonnentage mit Blick auf einen Walnussgarten. Dieses umgebaute Bauernhaus verfügt über 4 schöne Schlafzimmer und bietet Platz für bis zu 8 Personen. Das Hauptschlafzimmer ist wunderschön im typisch französischen Stil eingerichtet und sehr geräumig.
Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, damit Sie Ihre Hand auf jede neue Rezepte mit den Zutaten aus einem der nahe gelegenen Märkten versuchen. Es ist eine gute Größe Herd und Backofen, Kühlschrank / Gefrierfach und Mikrowelle. Der Geschirrspüler sorgt für schmutziges Geschirr.
Les Chouettes ist nur eine kurze Fahrt von Bordeaux, Sarlat-la-Caneda, Bergerac, Lalinde, Bugue und Perigueux entfernt und nur 1 km vom Dorf Tremolat im Dordogne-Tal von Aquitaine entfernt.

Die alte Scheune wurde kürzlich restauriert. Es ist hell und luftig mit eigenem Eingang. Es hat 3 Schlafzimmer. Es bietet eine ruhige Umgebung, ein charmantes französisches Dekor und ein eigenes Tauchbecken für die warmen Sonnentage mit Blick auf einen Walnuss-Obstgarten.
Es verfügt über eine eigene Küche, die mit allem ausgestattet ist, was Sie zum Kochen einer schönen Mahlzeit benötigen.
BITTE BEACHTEN SIE: Wenn Sie nur die Hütte oder nur die Scheune mieten, können Sie die andere Einheit nicht nutzen.
Das Dorf Tremolat ist nur 20 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt und verfügt über eine eigene Boulangerie, eine Pizzeria, ein Michelin-Stern-Bistro, eine Weinbar und ein fantastisches Michelin-Stern-Restaurant.
Verlassen Tremolat Dorf (auf der anderen Seite) nur 4 km ist ein typisches Perigord Auberge Les Truffiers genannt. Hier werden Sie von Yannick begrüßen. Sie werden die unglaublichsten Mahlzeit (versuchen Sie mit einem leeren Magen zu gehen) genießen Er bietet wirklich die wunderbarste gastronomisches Erlebnis .. Das Restaurant ist schrullig und fabelhaft.

Magnifiques gites

Les 2 gîtes de Karen sont très confortable et spacieux. Ils sont très bien équipés. La piscine est grande. Il y a un terrain de volley des vélos à disposition ainsi qu'une table de ping-pong. Karen est aux petits soins pour ses hôtes. De plus les gîtes sont dans un hameau très calme de Trémolat. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

We had a lovely time in Trémolat. A beautiful setting with lots to do. The house was perfect for x2 families of 4. We'll equipped kitchen with many basics such as herbs provided. Lots of helpful info on markets available in a helpful book. Would happily stay again.

A superb relaxing venue

A family holiday saw us rent the cottage and barn for ten nights .Accommodation was excellent ,super pool and very well equipped for families. Les Chouttes was spacious and comfortable and exceeded our expectation s.The village of Trémolat was charming and restraints , particularly the Vieux Logis were very good. Convenient for canoeing the Dordogne at Limeuil , visiting Le Buguevwuite close and seeing Sarlat at night . Our communication with the owner and as excellent as she always responded very quickly. I would be happy to recommend Les Chouettes to any family and would return in the future .Finally it was excellent value for money . Thank you Karen

A lovely cottage, but beware the summer months

Overall, the property itself is beautiful. Very tastefully furnished, spacious bathrooms, pretty outdoor landscaping, nice pool area, etc. See the pictures. The reason I couldn't give this property a higher rating is because the upstairs bedrooms are not truly air conditioned as described in HomeAway in the way that most people would describe it (the owner pointed to the heat wave underway when we arrived, but the conditions on the second floor never really improved to the point that we could sleep there). There was one fairly small portable unit in the larger bedroom, which was reading 30 degrees Celsius when we arrived. The other bedroom was even hotter. So the first night four of us slept in the two downstairs BR's, which were tolerable with fans, but which also meant my daughter had to share a BR with her 15 yr old son. As the weather cooled a bit later in the week, it was more comfortable. But at no point did the upstairs BR's become comfortable enough to sleep in, despite the owner bringing a second unit at the end of the first week. As a result, my son and his family could not stay with us at the cottage when they arrived on 7/5 and he had to rent a hotel room nearby. And my daughter and grandson had to share a BR for the entire stay. So I paid for a four BR place that only had two usable BR's and my son incurred the cost of three nights in a hotel. If you plan to use the pool, be aware that you are in the country, so small black flies will be around the whole time. We didn't spend more than 30-45 mins in the pool as a result. Also be aware in advance of opening the house early in the morning to let in the cooler air and then shutting up around mid-morning. We learned this from Simon, the caretaker, the day after we arrived. It's a must if you want the downstairs to be comfortable. Finally, the owners were very responsive to our concerns about the AC, but their efforts were to naught.

Beautiful cottage

We enjoyed a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage during some really hot weather! The downstairs bedrooms stayed lovely and cool and the air con helped upstairs. The pool was excellent and a choice of outside seating areas meant we were always able to find a shady spot and the best breeze. The kitchen was very well equipped and the lounge lovely and comfortable. Thank you Karen for letting us stay in your lovely house and your great communication and thoughtfulness while we were there.

Best Air BnB stay we have ever ever had!!

We honestly couldn't have done our trip with our Karen and Alan, they are the best hosts we have ever had! The house was gorgeous, in the most beautiful setting. The house was just perfect for us, everything we needed and more, all very clean and in amazing condition. Karen and Alan made us feel very at home and they were so welcoming. We came and stayed for a friends wedding and they couldn't have been more helpful in terms of the logistics for the wedding, travel etc. We all definitely want to come back and stay again! Definitely best Air BnB experience we have all ever had!

From the start, our host was very accommodating. She had given us loads of tips of what to do, where to eat and go in and around Tremolat. Our expectations were blown away by the tastefully designed cottage and barn. The lush amenities left us wanting for nothing and wishing that we could stay forever. We enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen most evenings and even had a barbecue on the porch under the gazebo. We cannot wait to return.

Beautiful Property

The French cottages, Les Chouettes in Tremolat is wonderful. We rented both the barn and cottage for 10 days with our extended family. Both houses are very well equipped with everything that one could need. The beds and furniture are very comfortable. Their towels are large and luxurious. There is so much to see in the Dordogne Valley from medieval cities, chateaus, and outdoor markets. We really liked the market at Issigeac. The Bistro in Tremolat is highly recommended too.

Beautiful, cosy and comfortable home in the French countryside

We had a fabulous time at Les Chouettes! This cosy, comfortable and well equipped home was absolutely perfect for our time spent in the south of France. The kitchen was perfectly equipped - meal making was an absolute pleasure. The lounge was warm and incredibly cosy, with a lovely fireplace and games for cold winter's days. Very convenient washing machine and tumble dryer, and a great supply of wood for the winter. Our bed was very comfortable with fresh, crisp linen, and the house is situated in the perfect little neighbourhood. It neighbours a number of small villages, which makes exploring the Dordogne valley incredibly easy and pleasurable. Karen was incredibly helpful, hospitable and kind, and we'd highly recommend staying at this property in Tremolat!

Well-equipped, comfortable home for 6-8 people

We have rented often in the Dordogne region and were pleasantly surprised to find a gîte that was not only very well-equipped but also beautifully furnished. We found it very comfortable for our party of 6 (including teenage children and aged parents). Being Australians visiting in December, we also appreciated the heating. A wonderful stay, thank you!

Charming, characterful and restful residence.

Our party of 4 loved the intimacy of the cottage, and the conveniences it offered. A well situated property on the outskirts of Tremolat that allowed one to enjoy the solitude and peace of the surroundings, yet with full access to all major attractions in the area. An ideal getaway for busy people that need some down time, and an opportunity to rest and relax. The is well furnished and was able to provide for all our needs to ensure a home from home experience. Our charming hostess and property owner organized 2 fantastic events with local individuals who shared with us their knowledge and skill in the art of food making and wine tasting. Thanks Karen for assisting us to make my husband's 60th birthday as memorable as it was. I am hoping that in the future we will be able to return to your beautiful part of the world and enjoy the comforts of your properties.

Holiday to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary..

The barn and the cottage. With 14 family members aged between 4 and 65 - including 3 teenagers - this was going to be interesting week. Everyone loved it. What makes this place special is SPACE. There is space to have 14 people sit down to eat in a number of different locations ....space to socialise.......and space to find a quiet area to read a book or FaceTime school friends. It is a property I would recommend and would also revisit as there is so much to do and see in this area. Both houses are furnished with quality pots pans utensils etc and there is plenty of crockery. The swimming pool is a good size and fenced off, the bicycles were used every day for the bread and croissant run and the table tennis table with the ladder competition created by Ryan provided a super communal activity for all.

fantastic rural retreat

My Family had a wonderful time at this beautiful rural property central to the dordogne With the weather hitting 40 deg the good sized pool was well used , the facilities where excellent . The family even took a canoe ride down the dordogne from Limeuil ( 20 mins drive ) , what lovely scenery . i would recommend this property to anybody who wants to see a beautiful area of France

Perfect cottage

We have just returned from a week staying in Les Chouettes and we could not fault it. We found Karen the owner to be very informative and helpful before we left. The cottage is perfect and well equipped with everything you can think of. Two fridge/freezers, 3 eating areas, laundry room, table tennis, bikes, pool equipment and the WiFi and sky tv were a bonus. The bakery in Tremolat is great for picking up beautiful pastries and there is a handful of other restaurants in the village. We had cars to explore and we went to some beautiful towns and villages. Could not recommend the area more and the cottage is a perfect base from which to explore.

Perfect in everyway!

The perfect escape! Beautiful.

The Cottage was absolutely stunning. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bedrooms luxurious, the water pressure high, and all was spotlessly clean. Whether it's to visit the local Chateaus, indulge in the world's best Foei gras, or paddle along the majestic Dordogne, the cottage could not be better located. The hosts were easily available and extremely friendly. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway with the most incredible scenery!

Un Noël charmant

Merci à Karen pour sa gentillesse et à Simon pour tous ces préparatifs. La maison est superbe, la déco très bien choisie. Tout était décoré pour Noël. Il est vrai que nous avons eu un peu froid car la maison n'est pas très bien isolée mais cela n'a pas du tout entaché notre séjour. Je recommande vivement cette location.

Home away from Home

I recently visited this cottage with some friends and I really recommend a trip to anyone looking for a nice relaxing french countryside holiday! The house itself was so cutely designed with an outside braai area where we sat and had duck pate, cheese and wine every night! The house had everything you could possibly need and more! The house was in walking distance to the main town area which has a few delicious restaurants! The area itself was absolutely stunning! We went canoeing down the Dordogne which was such a beautiful experience and additionally visited a few Castles which had the most breathtaking views! I recommend this cottage to anyone looking to take some time out and explore the French Countryside!! Loved it!!!

The perfect countryside break away! Mindblowing!

The cottage is absolutely stunning and is so well equipped with everything you could need for a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect, from the amazingly comfortable beds to the unbelievably beautiful scenery all around this area. The hosts were available and suggested some great places and activities for us to do in and around Tremolat. There really is loads to do in the area, but the cottage is also so nice and lovely if you prefer to stay home! A real french countryside experience! Will definitely go back and recommended this to anyone!

The owners are Alan and Karen Carter, we are South African,. We have travelled and lived in America and the UK and included all the things we like to have when we are away from home. We discovered the Dordogne in 2008 when we visited a friend who owns a property outside Tremolat. We both have fallen in love with the area. Alan and I would like to share our beautiful farmhouse and now recently our newly RENOVATED barn with anyone who loves fabulous food, unbelievable scenery, amazing history, and peace. The peace you too discover.

We fell in love with Tremolat and the beautiful Dordogne region when we visited in 2008 We have returned every year since that trip and we now have our beautiful cottage. Tremolat itself offers 4 superb restaurants and 1 wine bar and is within easy reach of wine regions such as Bordeaux, Bergerac, Pecharment, and the lovely smooth wines of Monbazillac ( gorgeous with fois gras), It is also within easy driving distance of wonderful historical sites such as Beynac and Castlenaud Castles, 1 hour from the paleolithic sites such as Les Eysiers. We are in easy access (only 35 km from Bergerac Airport, Bordeaux Airport is a 2 hour drive from the house)
