New House Near Beach
I recently stayed at this rental house with my extended family (5 adults, 3 grandparents, and 2 kids under 1) and we had a great time. Firstly, the house itself appears to be brand new with a few more houses near completion down the private, gated drive.
Location-wise, the house is a 10-minute walk to the beach, so you can easily enjoy the water without the hassle of driving or parking. Despite its proximity to the beach, the area is surprisingly quiet, providing a relaxing retreat from the usual hustle and bustle.
The kitchen was fully equipped with all the cookware and utensils we needed, and we made use of the propane grill to cook meals while also playing foosball and watching the olympics on the outdoor TV.
One small note: be sure to bring some mosquito repellent, the mosquitos were bad in most of Galveston.
One of the nice things about the house is the air conditioning—especially during the Texas summer heat. The AC kept the entire house comfortably cool throughout our stay, making it a perfect refuge after a day in the sun.
Overall, this rental house offers a perfect blend of modern comfort and convenience, close proximity to the beach and other Galveston attractions, and the right size for 8-10 people.
