Willkommen im Sweet Pea Cottage, einem wunderbaren Kurzurlaub für zwei Personen jeden Alters. Die wöchentlichen Preise beginnen bei 975 USD. 00. Im schönen BayRose-Garten mit drei Jahreszeiten voller Blumenschönheit gibt es immer etwas zu genießen.

Dieses gemütliche Apartment im Landhausstil befindet sich in Villas, New Jersey, 2 Häuserblocks von den Stränden der Bucht und 13 km nördlich des historischen Cape May. Nach einer vollständigen Renovierung wird es 2015 erstmals der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht.

Das Sweet Pea Cottage befindet sich auf einem vollständig eingezäunten, 100 x 100 Quadratfuß großen Grundstück und beherbergt den BayRose Garden mit einer Vielzahl aufregender Pflanzenarten, Kolibris und Schmetterlinge, die Sie von Ihrem privaten, abgeschirmten Pavillon aus genießen können.

Sie können nicht nur die farbenfrohe Gartenausstellung genießen, sondern auch die Wände des Cottages sind mit den originalen Panoramaserien „Straßen von Cape May“ dekoriert, die Sie genießen und sogar kaufen können, um sie mit nach Hause zu nehmen.

Die reizvollen, hundefreundlichen Bay Beaches laden zu langen Spaziergängen am Morgen und am Abend mit Ihrer besten Freundin ein. Sonnenuntergänge und andere wild lebende Tiere gibt es zuhauf.

Und wenn Sie ein Naturliebhaber sind, gibt es zwei Kolibri-Futterstellen, die vom Liebessitz in Ihrem Wohnzimmer aus sichtbar sind.

Peaceful and lovely

We loved our stay at Sweet Pea cottage and so did our 11-pound Bolonka. Easy drive to downtown Cape May, quiet neighborhood, gorgeous garden. Lisa, our host, who lives in attached house, could not have been more welcoming. Everything in cottage was spotless and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Just spend a lovely week at Sweet Pea cottage. It’s perfect for a couple and is super dog friendly. Short walk to the beach area. And the cottage is surrounded by the most stunning Gardens. A Gem of a Cottage

We had a lovely stay at this cottage in a garden by the sea surrounded by beautiful artwork and late fall flowers. We came to go birding during the fall migration and were close to all the right spots. Being just two blocks from the beach was wonderful for long dog walks with my pup. Much appreciation to our gracious and attentive host! We hope to be back often.

Exceeded our expectations!

The Sweet Pea Cottage is described accurately and is very clean, comfortable...and wonderful! The owner, Lisa, has created and maintained a lovely garden which surrounds the property; making the cottage private in a rather magical way. Lisa was very helpful with suggestions and directions of the area. Being able to walk to the beach is a major plus. The sunsets are not to be missed. We plan to return .

Cozy by the bay

Perfect Space for 2!

My friend and I had a girl's weekend and stayed at the cottage for four nights. We couldn't have been happier with it! Everything was so clean and it was just the right amount of space for the two of us! Lisa was so easy to work with and also provided lots of recommendations. The outdoor area and gardens are gorgeous and it's the perfect getaway spot. (also the bed is super comfortable) Already talking about going back!

Cozy getaway

We had a short weekend getaway at the rose cottage. The space is exactly as shown only cozier in person. Perfect for the two of us and our small dog. 2 blocks to the bay , and super cute neighborhood. We loved walking and looking at the adorable homes in the villas . Spent a few hours at willow creek winery ( 15 minute ride) and took a ride to cape May. Lisa was a gracious host! Easy to reach by text with any questions and had recommendations for restaurants and places that were dog friendly. Would love to try to get back again in the summer and see the gardens in bloom.

Excellent getaway cottage

This property was exactly what we wanted and it was accurately portrayed by its listing. Well kept and nicely appointed. The owner was outstanding in their communications and efforts to make the stay comfortable and successful. We were in Cape May to bird Fall migration. Lovely getaway

We loved our time at Sweet Pea. It was perfect for two people. The neighborhood was great for walking, and we loved looking at all the homes- big and small. The bay beach was most enjoyable. Cozy Cottage

The owner goes out of her way to make your stay enjoyable. It is clean, cozy, bright, and has everything you need. It is the perfect size for a couple and their pup. The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden that attracts birds and butterflies. Eating dinner or breakfast in the gazebo is a real treat. The beach is only two blocks away, and you can bring your pup. Perfect for long walks, sunrise, and sunset. Need a break from the beach? Cape May, Wildwood, Stone Harbor, breweries, and wineries are minutes away. A perfect retreat at the beach.

Great little cottage close to the bay beaches. Cottage just the right size for us and our dog, Lucy. Beautiful garden like environment. Lisa is a fabulous landlord and will assist with anything .Gives great advice on the area. Absolutely fantastic

Are stay on this property was absolutely wonderful, the host Lisa was very kind and offered to help in every way possible. My family lives nearby she allowed them to come visit us on the property gave us extra chairs to have dinner together and is very pet friendly. This was my animals first trip away from home so they were a little nervous around strangers and made a little bit of noise and she was Completely wonderful. I would highly recommend This property. The gardens were exquisite made it feel like a little bit of each and a little bit of country. Couldn’t ask for a better time

Sweet Pea Cottage Vacation

Our stay at Sweet Pea Cottage was so relaxing! There was ample room but with a cozy beach bungalow feel. The lovely gardens provided an everyday butterfly extravaganza! Lisa was available if needed but unobtrusive and privacy was never an issue. There is very good food to be had close by! Our favorite part of the days we were there were our short evening walks from the cottage to the expansive shore of the Delaware Bay. The sound of the waves and sunsets in gold, blues, reds, oranges and pinks offered pure contentment. Anyone we met in the Villas and their pets were calm and friendly. It was if we had our own vacation home & Sweet Pea Cottage was close to everything wonderful Cape May has to offer!

Tiny place to stay, even for one person. Nicely kept inside. Garden beautifully kept outside. This would be a beautiful tiny place to stay if in another neighborhood. However, neighborhood & location itself felt unsafe & sketchy. Neighborhood scuffle & screaming between locals (right in front of house) going on when I pulled up to check in. Felt unsafe to stay mainly due to the incident when I initially arrived (random woman telling me multiple times to call the police) & appearance of surrounding neighborhood. Left after one night stay and no consideration of even a partial refund by owner.

Easy Breezy by the Bay

Upon arrival, we had quick and easy access to our VRBO. It was remarkably comfortable, but not worn. We found many places to visit within 10 minutes, like Cape May Beaches, Wildwood, walking and biking trails, and a short block to enjoy the bay. There was excellent ice cream at Flecks and dog friendly restaurants nearby. The gardens were very colorful on the property and our dog had no problem behaving and following the expectations of the property owner. Would definitely do it again.

Zu Gast bei Lisa

A watercolor artist for over 35 years, I have become a gardening fanatic since the purchase of this simple Villas, New Jersey property in 2010.

Also an animal lover and owner of a spoiled Shichon (Shih Tzu / Bichon mix), I have made special accommodations to invite hummingbirds and butterflies into my garden to feed and thrive.

I was drawn to this quaint town after embarking on a body of artwork called "Streets of Cape May" where entire streets of the historic town are illustrated in vibrant panorama watercolors.

Wanting to start a large garden as an added palette to my creative portfolio I searched outside of Cape May and found the perfect location for all I needed to express.

Wanting to share these surroundings with other art and garden enthusiasts (other than my family) I have opened up my home's private apartment to those who thirst for all of the special beauty this area has to offer.

I fell in love with Cape May on my first visit and was compelled to dedicate my artistic career to capturing it's glorious streets in watercolor panorama paintings. I also yearned to start a significant garden, having outgrown my postage stamp size yard in Philadelphia.

How perfect was my find when I ventured north and happened upon a town called "Villas" where the reasonably priced cottages offered the land that I was in search of. Just a bonus, of course, that the bay beaches were just two blocks away allowing our little dog, Chloe' the ability to satisfy her own desires.
My Chloe' is now in animal heaven with her cat brother and sister Boomer and Alexandra. We miss her terribly. Our Munchkin has helped to fill the great hole she left behind.
