Cannot recommend this place.

My daughter and her family came for a Christmas Holiday and family reunion at Wild PInes. Our extended family has rented at Wild PInes for years...but not this unit. Upon arrival, the lanai was not cleaned so the owner sent over someone to clean it. Everything else was fine until my daughter started getting bug bites in the nighttime. We tried to identify the bites, asking the owners if there was a bug problem and they said "no." We bought bed bug traps. They came over with a "pest control guy," removed the bed bug traps and told us they didn't see any signs of a bug problem. Why remove the traps? The mattress in their bedroom had no mattress cover on it, only a sheet. The baseboards had major gaps in them and an electrical outlet had no cover. On Christmas Eve they decided they could not stay there anymore. We moved her to another rental, threw out their luggage, diaper bags and anything else that could not be properly cleaned. We asked for a refund. The owner did not refund us anything but the nights we would not be there. They had to buy new luggage, diaper bags and anything that they could not properly clean. We have given them plenty of time to make it right, but I guess they didn't think we deserved it. They said they were going to do a full update this coming summer. We hope that no one has to go through what we went through. Fortunately, Christmas Day in the new unit was wonderful and all the bug bites went away in a few days.

Not what we expected, unfortunately. Won't be back.

The advertisement read "fully equipped" and "immaculate." We had no paper towels and no garbage bags (the existing garbage bag was a used Publix shopping bag...1/3 the size of the trash can). Clean? Not quite. We couldn't sit on the outdoor furniture due to mold and dirt and we had no interest in sitting on the stained couch that smelled like 4 teenage boys live there. We specifically asked PRIOR to reserving the condo, "Will we be able to play pickleball while renting?" Answer was "Yes!" We packed our paddles, shoes, and sunscreen, hoping to play every day. Nope! Renters not permitted. Paint on the walls was dirty and chipped, the closet door was broken/off the track...and things just snowballed from there. On the bright side, we enjoyed beautiful weather, it's a gorgeous community (sans this specific unit) and the wildlife was abundant and fun to watch. We left disappointed and, once again, misled by VRBO's owners/advertising/ratings. We'll be staying in hotels from this point forward where there's some accountability.

Perfect for a long weekend visit

The property was clean and comfortable. We were visiting for a long weekend and it had everything we needed. And the Bonita Bay community is great in all aspects. Would stay again.

Wonderful Place

Place is as described. Very quiet and safe. Loved the layout, with the 2 bedrooms on different sides of the main living area. Kitchen is well stocked. Pool is a 2-minute walk and is nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Long Weekend Getaway

It was a nice property and in a good location. We had a problem with the cable at the place. We contacted the owner and they took care of it right away. The pool was within walking distance and getting to the beach with the shuttle was easy and convenient. Definitely would stay again.
