As experienced superhosts, we just purchased this property in April due to its strong rental history of five star reviews, as seen in the photos. We named it, Whispering Pines, due to the two large pine trees that provide privacy for the expansive front porch with secure gate — perfect for your dog!

Whispering Pines is an oceanside (+ sound side minutes away) beach retreat, perfect for friends, couples or families. Nestled in the Tri-Village area of Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo, NC, this 3 bedroom, 3 bath, coastal farmhouse is ideal for those interested in getting away from the more touristy areas of Nags Head. Just 30 minutes south at milepost 40 3/4, you can relax, unwind and embrace nature in a private and quiet neighborhood. A short five minute walk to enjoy the wide beaches of the Atlantic shoreline or sunsets on the Pamlico sound, you’ve found your vacation home. Inside the coastal farmhouse, you'll find two living rooms (main level + lower level) beautifully appointed, large screen TVs and a stocked kitchen with all the necessities you need for your stay. The lower level game room includes plenty of entertainment for staying in – play board games on the card table, watch movies on the large TV or play foosball. This second living area downstairs is where you can relax. There's also an extra queen bed set up in this space. Let the kids do their thing downstairs while you cook on one of two grills (a 28" Blackstone flat top grill + charcoal grill). At night, everyone will have fun stargazing or enjoying smores at the back yard fire pit.

There are 3 bedrooms on the top level that share one bathroom. Two additional full bathrooms are available just steps away. The primary room has a king bed and TV. The second guest room has a queen bed and Roku ready TV while the bunk room sleeps four on twin beds, also with a Roku TV. Linens and towels with beds made are included except for top bunks in which the sheets are provided. One bath, hand and wash towel are provided for each guest. If you would like extras, you can purchase from housekeeping directly. We provide beach chairs, beach wagons, umbrellas and chairs for your five minute walk to the wide beach where you can surf fish, play or relax. The laundry room with washer/dryer is available. We provide starters of laundry pods, dish pods, coffee pods, paper towels, kitchen hand towel, dish cloth, dish liquid, soap, toilet paper and trash bags to get you going. We recommend picking up additional items such as extra paper paper products, special toiletries, more coffee and any specific kitchen supplies you may require for the rest of your vacation. Due to sensitivities, we do not provide shampoo, conditioner or body wash.

We are well-equipped with all the beach gear you need for you to enjoy the beach or the sound at the Salvo Day area (a 5-8 minute drive). With its close proximity to 4x4 beaches and surf fishing, attractions such as kite boarding, surfing, kayaking, jet skiing, rock climbing, shopping and deep sea fishing, you’re sure to find something fun to do for your family. Enjoy a nice day trip to Ocracoke Island via a short ferry ride for deep sea fishing, shopping and great restaurants.You're close to all the action - walking distance to the beach, the sound, world famous REAL Watersports at Waterman’s Bar and Grill and access to the Tri-Villages sidewalk that bridges Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo shops and restaurants.

A welcome package is provided to guests that highlight activities, walking directions to the beach, where to go for food and fun, and an overview of the area. A Ring camera is located on the exterior.
