Attentive Host

Chelsea was the most attentive host that I have ever had, and we stay at Airbnbs often as a family. We did have an issue with the ice dispenser and Chelsea contacted onsite management and they were there to resolve the issue within an hour. We enjoyed our stay.

Vacation with the Fam

I would like to say thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful property. My family enjoyed the stay a-lot everyone who accompanied the trip we’re very comfortable. I love that the staff at the resort are very friendly and hardworking, It’s Very peaceful at night and in the mornings for you to go outside on the back deck and enjoy a cup of coffee or breakfast.The only problem that we acquired was the extra fees for some of the amenities for our rental I think with all the expenses a tenant has to pay for a stay at this property some things we shouldn’t have to be charged for but other then that we were very satisfied with the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms and our favorite store Walmart and other locations weren’t to far to travel to.

Enjoyed our stay

Traveled to the area for an event and some relaxation. The house is as advertised. Beds were comfortable. The house was very clean. Would stay here again. A water main broke in the area while we were there causing a loss of water.Host was prompt in responding and found out what the issue was quickly.

House in good order

Overall the house was in good order and spacious as advertised. only issue was parking. I rented an 8 bedroom house and was only allowed 6 cars. House had only 2 car spaces in driveway and everyone else parked in the street.

Lots of Space

We had 7 children and 8 adults and everyone had plenty of space. The house had lots of towels and even with 3 showers in use at one time we never ran out of hot water or had a drop in pressure. The only draw back was it took the fridge a long time to get cold, and the bbq looks like it has been well used, but did still work. Overall we where happy with the house and felt it was a good deal. Chelsea was extremely responsive and great to deal with. We would definitely rent this house again.

The master bedroom and front bedroom was a little hot. The only reason I chose this place was my husband would be staying behind while we where out enjoying everything and he loves fishing he fished for three days and nothing my daughter went online and found out there's no fishing aloud so you know how my week went they advertise fresh watering which is not true. Will never stay in this area again.

We rented a house for my 50th birthday, we had a group of 15. We paid for the grill we got there no propane until the 4th day. The stove didn’t work, Friday she had one finally delivered. The washer was broken she told me the day of arrival… the morning of checkout she text me a new washer was coming. A group of 15 had no laundry available to do clothing or towels. We went 4 days washing towels by hand and hanging them out to dry! This was a nightmare

It Could Have Been So Much Better!

We were very excited to finally arrive at Emerald Island Resort and this home from Michigan. We were very impressed with the arrival experience, the clubhouse and its amenities and the overall community setting. The house itself is similar to the other homes in the area. It was more than enough space to accommodate our family of thirteen. The ceilings heights on the first floor are high, the second floor are normal heights. The furnishings were of good quality, but they are showing signs of wear from use. The pool area is totally screened in with access from the kitchen, living room and an exterior door. The hot tub will accommodate up to four people. The pool is kind of small, seven people is about all it can handle at one time. There was an additional fee of $150 to have the pool heater function during the stay. The property backs up to what I would refer to as retaining pond, not a lake, with woods behind it. The morning view was nice with a good cup of coffee. There were minor maintenance issues upon initial inspection of the home. Chelsea, the owner, was excellent with handling all of the issues that came up. It would have been courteous for the maintenance personnel to leave a note that they were in the house while we were out. We did had problems with cockroaches. On Monday my daughter found one in the shower in the first-floor master bedroom. We thought it was an isolated incident. Chelsea wanted to schedule pest control, but we had small children so we wanted to wait until we left. Unfortunately, returning home late Wednesday night they found three more in the bedroom. The family didn’t sleep too well that night. The next day the pest control came in and treated the house. We found a dead one on Friday in the washer/dryer room and nothing after that. Our final issue was at the end of our stay. All of our clothes and luggage that was stored in the walk-in closet in the master bedroom on the second floor picked up a musty smell. We could not smell it just standing in the room but putting the items close to our noses you could detect it. Once we were on the road returning home, the smell became very evident. We’ve tried different solutions to remove the musty smell but it didn’t work on some of the clothes. We ended up throwing those items away. Chelsea was contacted, she was very concerned and she was going to have this investigated and corrected.
