The People Door House
This listing boasted being able to sleep five, with a queen bed in one room, and one full sized pull out sofa and one twin sized pull out sofa in the other bedroom. This was not the case. We searched for the twin sofa and ended up calling customer service. After getting more info, we received a call telling us where the sofa was located. It was in the sunroom, where there were two huge windows with no curtains or blinds. Not to mention there was barely enough room to move around in comfortably, and the light switch was located outside of the room. The Purple Door house only sleeps 4 people comfortably. It is definitely charming, but needs updates as it is obviously very old. It would be a good idea to dust and remove spider webs and possibly fumigate for spiders. We left immediately the night we arrived, after booking our remaining stay at a hotel and submitting our request for a refund.
Vacasa, however was exceptional. They sent someone out to access the property and agreed that the sunroom was not an appropriate bedroom for guests. They issued an apology and refunded our money
