The good... Marion Place was very clean, quite, and a comfortable sleeping environment (bed was medium firm). The kitchen is fully stocked, has a mini Keurig coffee maker, a cooktop, full-size microwave (I believe it was a convection oven microwave), dishwasher (provided dishwasher soap), and a semi-full sized refrigerator/freezer. There was a full size washer and dryer, and they did provide Tide detergent pods. The bathroom is tiny. The gym is on the first floor with a decent equipment.
When I was there (multiple days) it was very quiet, but I wonder if the noise level would pick up when Seattle University is in full swing. I believe this building has both temporary and permanent residents, and I felt very safe.
There were a few issues... one is that there is no air conditioning in the unit. I was there during the summer, but thankfully it was a week when the temperatures were only in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Just know that if you don't like the heat, you will suffer. There is air conditioning in the buildings' hallways, but that doesn't help the unit. My unit was on the 4th floor (no elevator, which is noted in the description) with one large window facing west, and one facing north. There was a decent breeze with both windows open.
The other issue is there is no place to hang clothes, and no ironing board, so if you are staying more than a couple of days, expect to be living out of your suitcase. There is a cabinet with a clothing bar, but there are shelves directly underneath that are used to store the vacuum cleaner, fan, and cleaning supplies. Even if there were hangers, the shelf below is only a few inches away from the clothing bar. The only place to put your clothing is in a small bedside table drawer. Overall, this place is nice, but I would not return here during the summer.
