Nestled in a grove of aspen, maple, and birch, our cozy yurt offers escape from the city and protection from the elements. Enjoy a short walk on trails through our woods or find the Superior Hiking Trail and COGGs trails less than a mile away. Relax by our garden. The yurt has a deck and chairs, a seasonal screen door to enjoy the breeze, a woodstove, a propane cookstove, an outhouse, and a bucket sink.
The space
Expect to enjoy a rustic stay! The woodstove is the primary heat source for the yurt. If you don't know how to build a fire, please let us know-- we have provided instructions and are also happy to assist. There is no running water at the yurt (there is, however, water provided and a bucket sink). The outhouse is a short walk from the yurt.
Other things to note
We believe it is our responsibility to minimize the spread of COVID-19. We suspended all hosting from March-August 2020, both to discourage unnecessary travel and to prepare to safely hosts guests (namely, building an outhouse!). We suspended hosting again from November 2020-March 2021.
We are taking the following precautions with COVID-19 in mind:
1. Minimizing shared spaces: the yurt is all yours! The outhouse is sometimes used by other guests to the property, note that the door does have a latch on the inside.
2. Thorough cleaning according to guidelines.
Please do not travel if you are sick or believe you may have been exposed to COVID recently. Please only book a stay with us if you plan to follow CDC guidelines while you are in town. Thank you for helping us keep our community safe!
