Home completed in summer 2023, lake views, fire-pit & less than 2 blocks to the beach! Our home has everything you need to make lasting memories with family and friends.

The surrounding area offers endless opportunities for whatever your interests may be. Close to everything, less than 5-minute walk to beach/Washington Park, 1/2 mile to the Zoo, walking distance to restaurants/bars/shopping, nearby to wineries/breweries, Indiana Dunes National Park, hiking/biking trails, boat marina and more!

Welcome to the Dune Abides, completed in June 2023. Our newly constructed lake house is perfect for 9 guests offering a comfortable, relaxing, and inviting atmosphere only 2 blocks from Lake Michigan.

The living area in the front of the house is situated in front of sliding glass door leading to the spacious front deck with comfortable seating and a view of Lake Michigan. Both inside and outside are ideal spots for a morning coffee, or for taking a “timeout” from the beach or sightseeing with your favorite book. Also tucked away on the first floor is a comfortable bedroom with a Queen bed and nice sized closet, and a modern full bathroom with a shower.

The kitchen is designed with both functionality and style in mind. Adorned with sleek, quartz countertops, a large island with additional seating, modern appliances including an additional beverage fridge, and ample storage space, it provides the perfect setting for creating culinary
masterpieces or simply whipping up a quick beachside snack. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area, where a large table invites gatherings and memorable meals. Enjoy delightful conversations and savor delicious dishes with family, friends, and guests.

The great room, with its tall, vaulted ceilings, bathed in natural light streaming through large windows and two sliding glass doors, is designed to seamlessly connect the indoor space with the outdoors, and is infused with a warm and inviting ambiance. For entertainment and relaxation, the great room offers a brand new 65” flat screen TV equipped with Roku.

Through the sliding glass doors is an expansive back deck that stretches across the rear of our home, leading to a large backyard. The deck provides an idyllic space for relaxation, outdoor dining, and endless enjoyment. A Weber grill, ample seating options, including an outdoor dining table and chaise lounge chairs invite you to unwind after a day at the beach.

The upstairs features the Primary Suite, two guest bedrooms, a guest bathroom, and a stackable washer and dryer. The first guest bedroom is perfect for young ones, featuring matching twin beds with a trundle, and is conveniently situated directly across the hall from a full guest bathroom with double sinks and a bathtub. The 2nd guest bedroom features a Queen bed and views of Lake Michigan.

The Main Suite is furnished with a King bed. Four panel sliding glass doors offer access to the 2nd Floor deck with views of Lake Michigan. Ample seating options, including comfortable lounging chairs and inviting outdoor sofas, allow you to relax and bask in the serenity of the surroundings. Set up a cozy seating arrangement for sipping cocktails, engage in leisurely conversation, or simply relish in the peaceful ambiance.

Great beach neighborhood with so many amenities within walking distance. The beach, the zoo, splash pad, Washington Park, numerous bars and restaurants, hiking paths, biking paths, etc.

This is a quiet residential neighborhood with many families. This is definitely not a party town - do not book this house if that is your intention.

My favorite thing about our neighborhood is that we arrive, set our car keys down and rarely pick them up again until we leave. We walk, we bike, we swim, we boat and we paddleboard. There are so many things to do in the neighborhood that do not require a car, which is why we love this area so much!

No animals as our 2 year old son suffers from asthma that is made worse by certain pet dander.
