Potential for Greatness
A beautiful house with a wonderful view and has the potential to be a 5-star rental. Appreciated having enough room for our 3 families (total of 8 persons) to spread out and have their own bedrooms with attached bathrooms. The kids loved the gameroom with the pool table, air hockey, and video games. The theater room was also enjoyed once we were able to figure out how to use it due to no instruction manual. Appreciated the large kitchen and pantry and plenty of dishes, utensils, and cookware. There is also a nice kitchenette in the basement for convenience. There are plenty of towels, washcloths, and soaps for the bathrooms. We were unaware that this rental is a townhome due to initially booking it through another rental company, but it is still very large and private and there were no guests staying in the other home. It is located close enough to town but still feels secluded due to the beautiful setting with a wonderful view of the lake and tree-covered mountains. Would have been nice to see an instruction manual for the home (especially for the theater room) and maybe a guest book to see what activities other guests have enjoyed in the area. There were some minor cosmetic things that were broken upon arrival (a sliding door handle, a few dresser knobs, etc.) and some carpet stains in the basement. Also the railing on the decks is nice, but is unsafe for small children. The smoke alarm went off while cooking bacon on the stovetop because there is no exhaust fan—the silence button for the smoke alarm is located in the utility room in the garage if needed! However, these things did not affect our stay or stop us from having a great time in this beautiful home. With a few minor repairs, this would definitely have been a 5-star rating!
