Waited about 7 mins for a car to exit in order to access gated parking. Once inside it was a guessing game on how to get to apartment. Didn’t find elevator so climbed 3 flights of stairs. Once inside found

Not as advertised

We booked a property at one address. I communicated the entire time about when we would arrive, and the host waited until the last minute to send us check in information. The information she sent was for a different address, but we had no choice to stay there because our family of six needed to sleep. The unit we booked had 3 beds. This has 1 bed and 2 air mattresses. There was no bedding. More concerning was the fact that the door had a notice to vacate from the sheriff. Our plans did not allow for a change, so we made it work (as experienced campers). Worst VRBO experience ever.

Bait and switch property. Owner left us with nowhere to go.

We booked a condo/apartment in Burbank. The location given to us was different than location the host gave us the day of. We showed up to the address the host gave us the day of and it was in fact the wrong apartment. “Different than the one we booked”. This apartment was in a shady area and was very bare. It smelled of dog urine. The room next to us had people arguing in it and the door was wide open. There was a terrible smell of gas coming from the apartment. We left and tried contacting the host on the mix up. She did not respond to us basically Ghosting us. We called vrbo and drove around with 3 kids in LA to try and figure out what to do. The vrbo customer service lady was very nice and told us that any changes made must be communicated to us first. This was not done by the host. Vrbo contacted the host and said they must give us original booking or refund our money. The host said the other property was being “maintenanced”. They issued a refund that won’t post for 3-5 days. We drove around for 2 hours trying to find a hotel for us and kids to sleep at 10 o’clock at night. We finally found a hotel and because it was last minute cost us way more than we budgeted for. Overall stressful experience!

Beautiful, serene location

The apartment is located in a safe area that’s close to many attractions. The complex has a pool and gym, nice places to walk too. The host was nice but then stopped communicating once we arrived. The apartment, unfortunately, was left unclean (bed unmade, trash in all bins, food delivery bags left on the counter, bathroom dirty). I sent the host photos and that’s when she stopped communicating. Even to check out, no response. Although it was ok to stay for 2 nights, I wouldn’t again.
