Served our purpose, did not exceed expectations
We stayed in the back house for 2 nights. It is cute & clean and we had no major issues. As someone who has stayed in hundreds of luxury short term rentals, there are always things that could be done to make your stay a bit more comfortable. I have never experienced one that didn’t provide what I consider basic necessities; hand towels, face towels, kitchen towels—so we brought our own. I know ‘environmental reasons’ are stated, but I will still need to wash my towels so same amount of water is used—I think these owners are just very frugal, trying to save on water bills. The living room rug was oddly turned upside down, exposing the plastic-like backing, likely to avoid having to replace it (if stained/damaged). A cracked vase in the bathroom was taped instead of replaced and the kitchen cabinets were pretty bare—no seasonings, oil or cooking basics (only salt). There are dishes, glasses and pots & pans, though. The 2nd garage was available to us and although our large SUV probably would have fit inside, the angle to get in was tricky with limited space to maneuver, so street parking was just easier. No extra blankets or pillows were provided in the closets. But all in all, we had the basics and it felt clean & safe and looked cute, so it worked for us for our quick stay. No frills, but I would still recommend this property, as long as you know that going in and are ok bringing your own hand towels or using paper towels (which is not as environmentally friendly).
