A cute, historic house nestled in a cute, historic neighborhood, that is a five minute walk from the cute, historic downtown St. Augustine. It's incredible here. Now the house itself is old, built in 1890 and recently renovated, so there are creaks, cracks, divots, structural oddities and particularities, but it is comfortable, safe, and modernly functional.
**For Pet Owners: We visited with our 14 yr old dog who was able to maneuver the stairs, house, backyard, and neighborhood without issue, though there were a number of loose construction materials around the back, and some loose nails on the stairs, we just kept an eye on her and it was fine. It's important to know there is frequent cannon-fire around this location and it is quite loud. Our dog is scared of fireworks, thunder, pops, etc. and was not happy the first day, but luckily she seemed to come around to it by the second. A TV in each room with the volume up helped.
Other than that, using this location as a base of operations to go out and explore St. Augustine is as I said earlier, incredible. Safe neighborhood (seems like a vacation neighborhood), easily maneuverable by foot or car, dozens of food/drink options within walking distance, friendly and considerate people around, a 5 minute walk to the fort or an 8 minute drive to beautiful, sparsely populated beaches, honestly what more could you want from a vacation spot!?
Thank you Morgan for your communication and making this stay possible!
