The Pine Island Sanctuary and Audubon Center are situated on 5,000 acres of pristine protected marsh to the west of the community. The community is connected with private roads and bike trails.

Two community pools are available, including a beach club with oceanside pool, bath house, a baby pool, organized children's activities, playground, tennis courts, bike and jogging path, and basketball court.
