1.1 miles to the entrance of Pinehurst No. 2 is this completely restored 100+ year old cottage, with a new kitchen, air conditioning, and more. Located in the historic district of Pinehurst, and on the stately Linden Road, the cottage is behind the main house. There is a picturesque walking path that runs from the home into the heart of the Village of Pinehurst. It is an easy walk to the US Open, but in addition, we are also offering a free-of-charge personal chauffeur service during your stay. We can drop you off at the entrance of the course each morning, and when you are ready to be picked up, simply give us a call and we will be there shortly to give you a ride back to the cottage.
The cottage is located roughly 40 yards behind our main house, within the approximately 2 and half acre secluded property. Running across the back end of the property, near to the cottage, is a railroad track. Freight trains often run on this track with no set schedule, meaning they may pass by at noon, or even near midnight. On many occasions, the blowing of its horn will even occur as it is passing by. All of this might be an interference to a perfect night's sleep, or it might just add that much-desired bit of adventure.
There is NO TV or wifi, but most people can access those things via their phones' wifi.
Homemade breakfast is available each morning upon request, either at the main house, or we can deliver it out to the cottage for you, if you would like. You'll have your choice of homemade waffles, pancakes, omelets or crepes.
The cottage has its own washer and dryer, microwave, plenty of pots and pans, and most basic necessities.
There is only one queen bed in the cottage. As such, there is a 2 adult limit on those staying. We also have cots we can put out, so up to 2 children are allowed.
