Ich komme seit über 45 Jahren zu Sister Lakes. Die wunderbaren Erlebnisse haben immer ein Gefühl der Ruhe und Beschaulichkeit vermittelt. Wenn ich gehe, habe ich das Gefühl, dass ich es kaum erwarten kann, wiederzukommen. Ich habe Freunde, die mit uns ein Wochenende Urlaub gemacht haben und wochenlang geblieben sind. Wir haben unzählige Erinnerungen an Familie und Freunde, die schwimmen, ein Boot, einen Ponton oder Jetski fahren oder im Wasser fangen lernen, um einen Ball vom Floß zu holen. Kochen Sie auf einem Gasgrill, einem Weber-Holzkohlekessel oder einer offenen Feuerstelle. Fischen Sie, schweben Sie mit einem Kühler an das Floß gebunden herum, sitzen Sie im Wasser auf Stühlen und genießen Sie zu viel Sonne! Es gibt keinen besseren Ort für eine Party, egal ob Geburtstag, Abschlussfeier oder spontanes Beisammensein - besser geht es nicht!

Der Herbst bringt unglaubliche Farben der Natur zum Vorschein. Der See beruhigt sich im Vergleich zum Sommer und das Wasser wird zum Spiegel der Farben auf den Bäumen. Sie können brennende Blätter riechen, während sich Hausbesitzer auf die nächste Wintersaison vorbereiten, die sich normalerweise in ein Winterwunderland verwandelt. Machen Sie Feuer im Kamin oder in der Feuerstelle, räumen Sie Schnee und fahren Sie auf dem See Schlittschuh. Werfen Sie einen Puck auf das jungfräuliche Eis, und wenn Sie es verpassen, fahren Sie über den See, um es wiederzufinden. Eisfisch, Schlitten oder Schneemobil. Es gibt hunderte von Kilometern an Wegen, die man genießen kann. Dann springt der Frühling in leuchtendem Grün heraus, bevor Sie es merken. Cousin’s girl weekend

Enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful property. Love that stairs to walk in water. Enjoyed that property was fully stocked. Water, paper towels, toilet paper. Kleenex, styrofoam paper plates and cups. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Love the little shampoo and conditioners. Love the hooks everywhere. To hang up towels. Smart thinking on that. Bathtub (Jacuzzi ) was very slippery. It needs anti slip pads. Thank god for safety bars going into it. Shower pole was not connected well to the wall. Love the solo fire pit. I would recommend this place to friends and family. I would stay here again. Thank you.

Time to Relax

We loved this property. The house is very clean and well-stocked with basics. The outside is also well-maintained and has plenty of outdoor furniture to relax on the patio, by the fire or on the pier. The kids were able to swim the entire stay with the lake being easily accessible, clean and shallow. The lake was busy during the day and calm and peaceful in the mornings and evenings. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend!

Amazing lake house!

We’ve stayed at this house on 4 different occasions and it never disappoints. This property is just wonderful! The house is exactly as described and is in a fantastic location. My children (ages 8 and 10) just love coming back here. The owner keeps the house well stocked of everything from toiletries to kitchen supplies to a cabinet full of board games! The location on Big Crooked Lake is great because within minutes, you can be at the Strand, Lakeview Inn, Sister Lakes Brewing Company, or the Driftwood! We can’t wait to stay there again in the future!

Mile O is a great place to stay!

Mile 0 is a 10/10!

Mile 0 is super clean, the lake is crystal clear, and every aspect of the place is perfect for the whole family. Our 2 and 5 year old loved the shallow area and spent hours chasing minnows with their nets. Everyone loved jumping off the dock and swimming out the the swim platform. The owner even helped me out when it came to renting a pontoon. He let us dock the rented boat at the property as well. We loved every single minute of our stay and would love to come back again.

Another Wonderful Visit

The house is lovely, the location fantastic, and the property manager clear and helpful. They do ask that you try to ignore that neighbors dog, which we did. However, since his owner lets him run freely off leash there was not much to be done. He was super interested in all the children and hung out for stretches of time before his owner finally called him back. He also bit a hole in one of the kids floaties and took the soccer ball, which we later retrieved. It wasn’t a huge deal for us since we all are comfortable with dogs but something to be considered if you’re not. That aside we are excited to plan next years visit, the kids especially love it here and we love all the memories they are making.

Perfect Getaway

My two children and I had the pleasure of staying at this property for 5 days. It is easily one of the most well-stocked properties I've ever rented! Any time we needed something, it was there (we cooked inside and grilled outside). The property was immaculately maintained. The interior of the home was warm and inviting, beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was plenty of space. All appliances were in working order, and we did do several loads of laundry. One of my children has cerebral palsy, and I loved being able to walk down the steps on the dock, and enjoy the crystal clear water safely. Ken was a phenomenal host, answering questions quickly, and addressing an unfortunate incident when my child got sick, with kindness and efficiency. I had family stop out to visit and grill one evening, and they were also impressed with the property and serenity it provided. The neighbors we did see were friendly, and I didn't notice any excessive noise from anyone on the lake. We really enjoyed watching the boaters, in particular a family pulling their kids that waved each time they passed our dock. I wouldn't hesitate to revisit this property, and hope I have an opportunity to do so in the future. Thanks for everything, Ken!

Instant relaxation not far from home

This was such a perfect spot for a quick getaway before school starts. It’s very nostalgic of a cottage I visited at my grandparents growing up but the property has all the amenities you would want in a lake house. We enjoyed the paddle boards, floating raft, solo stove fire pit and enjoying the three seating areas lining the property. The landscaping is really nice. We really enjoyed our evening at The Strand and Sister Lakes Brewing Company which are 2-3 minutes away. 5 Stars!

Fantastic vacation house

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house. There were so many extras that make this rental stand out from others we’ve gone to. The house was exceptionally clean, the beds were wonderful, it was nicely decorated too. Everything we could have needed was there in the house which allowed me (mom) to relax and enjoy vacation too. The lake was clear and had a nice sandy bottom which the kids appreciated. The neighborhood was great, a few local places to choose from for ice cream and food. It was a short drive to the bigger grocery stores and the beach and downtown area in StJoseph. Communication was superb as well, we really appreciated that. The house was exactly as listed, all the amenities they describe are accurate plus some extras. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay again.

I’ve been renting from Vrbo for the last 7 years or so. This is the most stocked and efficient place I’ve ever stayed. The restaurant Strand just a few blocks from the house was fun on Saturday night. So close to various towns to go and visit .Beds were comfortable it was just a wonderful experience.

Great home on Big Crooked

This VRBO was one of our favorite. It is exactly as described with lots of great extras. You can tell the owners really care about their property. It is on a great spot on the lake and walking distance to many places. We enjoyed the paddle boards, fishing off the pier and sitting under the shade trees. Nights meant a fire and smores by the lake. Don't hesitate to rent this place!

Our property provides several different ways you can relax and/or entertain. MAKE SURE TO CONTACT ME FOR A LINK TO VIEW A VIRTUAL TOUR OF THE PROPERTY. The adjacent patio connected to the house is sheltered from the rain and sun; this is where you’ll find one of the cooking grills with a ceiling fan to provide a breeze. Toss the bean bags, play catch, or throw a Frisbee on the front lawn in a shaded area under the trees or closer to the water in the sun. Or walk down a few steps and sit down in the sun garden with a cold beverage and just take everything in, enjoying nature at its best. You can lie on the raft and bob around with the waves, sit on a bench at the end of the pier, maybe drop a line, or lounge in a chaise on the 8'x16' sun deck above the water. Count on some wave sprays coming off the seawall to cool you off as the boats pass by! For some exercise, the path around the lake is just shy of 4 miles. You can make it shorter depending on your preference, but it is a wonderful outdoor workout, casual walk or bike ride. For those looking for water toys, bring your own or there are local rentals available by the day or week. There are 4 augured poles just off the pier to moor your boat or PWF
