Situated on five acres of waterfront with views of Carver’s Harbor and the open ocean, Wildhaven is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house that can accommodate two to
four guests. Wildhaven is located three miles from town and has a mile-long private drive, offering guests peace and seclusion and a clear view of the gorgeous night sky and sunrise. The guest house sits on a small rise with full sunlight, which overlooks a large lawn and a garden with views of the water. The first floor has an open floor plan and features a
fully equipped kitchen along with dining and living areas that have seating for entertaining or relaxing. The second floor has two bedrooms - a Queen size and a double bed - as well as a full bathroom with a tub and shower. Guests can enjoy watching lobster boats and sail boats, and the occasional eagle. There is a small beach and private cove for swimming and kayaking and an even organic farm next door offering fresh vegetables and meals. Wildhaven is perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all, with the option of visiting town and exploring the island’s many trails and swimming quarries.
HOUSE RULES:
- Smoking, fireworks, indoor/outdoor fires are NOT allowed
- Please no parties or large gatherings
- Keep the property and all furnishings in good order
- PARKING – Parking is limited to 1 vehicle. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only.
- Appliances for their intended use only
- Water and Septic: You are on an island, so please be mindful of water usage and waste water
- No fires- even if there is a fireplace, wood stove, or fire pit
- Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. Please follow the check out list before departure.
-Pets: this is a NO pets property; guests found in violation of this policy will be charged an additional fee of $350 and will be required to find alternative lodging for their pet for the remainder of their stay
-Garbage: All trash must be stowed in the proper garbage or recycling receptacle. Guests must visit the transfer station before departure. Guests may leave 1 bag of trash at the end of stay if the transfer station is closed. If excessive trash is left it is charged $15/bag.
-Returnables: All returnable bottles & cans may be dropped off at the town parking lot downtown to benefit Eldercare services on the island. There are no hours of operation so this may be done anytime.
-Transfer Station Hours- Sun, Mon, Weds, & Thurs 7:30am -- 4:00pm
-Lobster shells- If you're planning on cooking lobster, crab, mussels, etc. please visit the dump the day after your meal or if you're on the ocean you may dispose of your shells in the ocean. Anything that comes from the ocean can go back in the ocean. Do not leave lobster shells in the garbage for over 24 hours. With high heats/humidity lobster shells can become a huge mess/smells and can also attract unwanted animals to the property.
-Laundry: Please start a load of towels the night before your departure. All used linens may be consolidated next to the washer/dryer in the utility room.
