A wonderful stay in Scituate

Our VRBO was just as described! The home was clean, well equipped and an easy walk to the harbor. Communication with the owner was easy with quick response time. Would stay again!

The tidal marsh views are mesmerizing and you can walk to the harbor. A tranquil retreat.

I like to cook and found the kitchen had everything I could possibly need to host family and friends. The appliances were high end and nothing was lacking. I hosted a family cookout on the spacious deck where we watched the tide come in. I walked to the harbor often and enjoyed the shops and restaurants and visited nearby Peggoty beach. I’ll be back next summer!

Enchanting views

The house is beautifully appointed with high end finishes and every imaginable convenience. The chef’s kitchen has everything a cook could ever want and the master suite has the most comfortable ever and water views. But the best thing is that the back of the house has two sets of sliding doors opening to the deck overlooking the marshes with tidal views. Even on stormy days you can watch the sea birds soaring as the clouds roll in.Enchanting. You can easily walk to Scituate Harbor where there are shops, restaurants and even an active fishing fleet. Can’t wait to go back next year!

Bright and cheery home with amazing views!

This charming home is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy all Scituate has to offer. The views are simply amazing. The house is bright, sunny and comfortable. The central air-conditioning is a huge plus. The Kitchen and bathrooms are updated and well appointed. We spent a month here and wished it were longer! You will not be disappointed!

Well Scituated

Great location, beach and town less than 1 mile away. Very clean property and responsive host. Only negatives were slow WiFi and effectively no parking at beach for non-residents, but it’s an easy walk from the house.

Great short term rental

Small family needed a furnished short term rental. This property was perfect. Great location near the harbor and exactly as advertised. Laura was a great host. Would highly recommend.

Very nice place

The view of the marsh from the large deck was wonderful. There were plenty of towels and supplies. TheA/C was great to have. One suggestion: put grab bars into showers. For older folks like us, thats a must.

Perfect in every way - very comfy home with beautiful view and enjoyed walk to harbor and beach

We could not have been happier. Floor plan was excellent - one bed and bath upstairs and one down - and great kitchen and living space. Beautifully renovated and furnished. We highly recommend.

Perfect. Week in scuiate, mass

The week of our vacation in scuiate was wonderful. Our home overlooked a very pretty marsh with heron and deer seen frequently. Ask rooms were bright and clean...very open. I loved the kitchen, easy to prepare food. Two bedrooms ample for us and a deck that overlooked the marsh. We both loved the beach,town, and eateries. Y

Fantastic!

We rented the house for a few months while we were looking for a house to buy in town. It was a great introduction into Scituate. The fully equipped house was beautiful and the location is perfect! We walked to the shops and restaurants in the harbor a lot. It's close to the beach and watching the sunrise from the deck every morning was amazing! Laura was incredibly accommodating and even upgraded the cable for us during our stay so our young sons could watch their favorite show on an obscure channel. I highly recommend!

Everything and more!

Wow! This gorgeous property is well-maintained in a great location with great amenities, such as a washer/dryer and dishwasher, as well as cool little footlights on the inside stairwell that are on dimmers. Perfect for a nightlight! In fact, all the lights in this home are on dimmers. An example of the thoughtful touches that you'll find in this place. Everything was immaculate when we arrived, and there were leftover supplies (garbage bags, Ziploc bags, foil, Saran Wrap...) from previous guests which was great. We replenished what we used, and left them for the next visitor. The location is wonderful, with Scituate Harbor, and all its shops, restaurants, and movie theater, about a 15 minute walk. Make sure you stop into Nona's ice cream, behind the movie theater, for some homemade ice cream. The commuter rail into Boston is about a 5 minute drive from the house, making getting into Boston a breeze. I think a one-way ticket was $8.50 for an adult. Peggotty Beach is right across the marsh, although you can't walk across the marsh to get to it. You can drive to it and park, thanks to the beach pass left in the packet of welcome information. You could also walk, but if you are carrying a ton of stuff, it's easier to drive. The back deck is large and there is a table with an umbrella and four chairs, and a small gas grill that holds more than I thought it would. I think we fit 15 good size burgers on it at once. The flatscreen TV has an amazing picture and there are loads of cable channels to choose from. All the appliances are top-of-the-line, and the bamboo floors are gorgeous. My kids loved the Harry Potter-like room under the stairwell. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are soft and clean. The shower water pressure is good, and the hand-held shower head is a nice luxury. Laura is a wonderful host, and is easy to reach and responsive to any questions. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable!

Scituate Beach House

We rented this beach house for a week at the beginning of June. The property is well equipped, clean, spacious and comfortable. The owner Laura was very obliging and left a detailed information pack which was really helpful. It was lovely watching the tide creep over the salt marsh outside the house and on one occasion, due to the height of the tide and weather conditions, we were actually completely surrounded by the sea! This is a great rental for anyone wanting to get away from it all or families with young children who want to escape to the beach.

Beautiful Home!

My husband and I rented this beautiful home for 8 months. From the gourmet kitchen to the beautiful master suite with ocean views, we could not have been more comfortable. The everchanging views of the marsh with all of it's wildlife have been a joy to experience. Only a short walk to beautiful Scituate Harbor, we've enjoyed many meals and a movie or two!! Truly a relaxing experience!
