For the benefit of our future guests, we wanted to provide a few updates. Since this stay, we have addressed the fireplace and living room blind issues to ensure they are fully operational for upcoming guests. We are sorry that the mosquitoes impacted your ability to enjoy the outdoor spaces. Unfortunately, mosquitoes can be particularly challenging in our coastal environment, and while they are not within our control, we certainly understand how frustrating they can be. We do want to clarify that we never asked the guest to apply pesticide herself. We offered to provide mosquito candles and spray, as well as arrange for our pest control professional to treat the yard. While we understand that this would not have been a permanent solution, it was an effort to help make the outdoor spaces more comfortable during guest's stay. Unfortunately, these offers of assistance were declined. We are also disappointed to hear that you did not feel the home provided the value you expected. We made every effort to be accommodating, including extending a significant discount on your reservation, and reached out multiple times throughout your stay with offers to address your concerns and make things right. We are genuinely sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We always want our guests to have a wonderful stay, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify the steps we took to help and the improvements we have made since your visit. We appreciate your suggestions, and I’m happy to share that we’ve made some improvements based on your comments: We’ve purchased additional outdoor furniture to ensure there’s enough seating for everyone to enjoy meals together on the deck. We will provide baby gates for guests who request them to make stays with young children more convenient. We’ve ordered new motors for the blinds in the master bedroom and living room, so now our guests will be able to easily regulate light and privacy. We’re glad to hear you had a pleasant stay!
