The Space:
Walk into this cabin and you immediately feel the coziness with a gas fireplace! We have a soft queen size bed to sleep in after a day of adventuring. An Amazon Fire TV to watch that favorite show and relax. Enjoy your own private fenced in patio for grilling or relaxing in the fresh mountain air or sit out by one of our 4 fire pit areas right along the river!
Kitchen: microwave, refrigerator, gas oven, dishes, drip coffee maker with coffee, creamer/sugar packets
Bathroom: complete with shower and fresh, soft towels/eco friendly soaps and lotion!
This cabin has been fully remodeled and ready for you to come and enjoy! Your cabin has a porch that is connected to the cabin next door, duplex style. If you have friends or other family members that would like to stay but need their own cabin please let us know has we have 9 other cabins throughout the property!
Guest Access:
If you are coming from Lyons you will turn left right after county road 80 onto our private drive. You will head down the road past the parking lot and continue to follow the one way dirt road all the way to the back of the property and around to the right. You will pass a garage and stand alone cabin. Keep going a little further and your cabin will be the second one back on your left with the Red chairs on the deck. The cabin name is Walnut. Park in the unloading zone to get your things into your cabin and then continue to follow the one way road around back to the parking lot. It will be a short walk from the parking lot to your cabin. We wanted to keep the property quiet, peaceful and natural for all of our guests so you can enjoy all the property has to offer! Please feel free to check out our property but please be mindful of other guests. You are able to access this cabin with any type of vehicle although please think about the time of year you are coming and what areas you would like to go. Getting to some of the trailheads may require AWD or 4WD.

The Walnut Cabin is located on the Riverside Cabins private property right along the St. Vrain River! There are 11 cabins on our property and we pride ourselves in keeping it private and natural so everyone can enjoy the beauty of the mountains. Just a short drive away, the quaint town of Lyons offers a delicious slice of local life, with mouth-watering pizza and handcrafted beer, an ice cream shop, and a local distillery where you can unwind and enjoy handcrafted spirits. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or just looking for a peaceful retreat, our cabin resort provides everything you need for the perfect adventure getaway.

Getting Around:
You should easily be able to access our property with any vehicle but please remember if you are doing any mountain driving or planning any hikes some trailheads are only accessible by AWD or 4WD.
Parking- please use the One Way road to get to your cabin to unload your things. Always go the same direction to get back to the parking lot. The road is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass each other in certain spots.
Other Things to Note:
Wildlife: We are in the mountains and do have wildlife walking through the property regularly such as Black Bear, Elk, Bobcats, Fox and Deer. That being said these are wild animals and we are in their space so please enjoy them but keep a safe distance. Never approach them and please do not leave any food in your vehicle or outside. Lock your car at all times and please throw food garbage in our bear proof container on the property up by the Lodge.
Outdoor Firepits: We have 5 gas firepits on the property for you to enjoy. Please remember to turn the firepit and the propane off when you are done.
River and Fire Bans- The River is cold mountain run off and is also at times very deep and fast. Please be aware of this and stay a safe distance when enjoying! We will let you know about any fire bans that might come up in the area.
WIFI: we do have wifi and it is usually good! However we are in the canyon so it can be spotty at time depending on weather etc. we hope you can unplug alittle and enjoy the outdoors!
