Das Salt Box in der Sanford Street 116 ist ein großartiger, familienfreundlicher Rückzugsort, der sich perfekt zum Entspannen und Genießen der 11 km langen Insel Holden Beach eignet. Unser Haus ist etwa 800 Ft. Von der Promenade bis zum Strand ist es ein einfacher Spaziergang. Auf der Insel verlaufen Bürgersteige, die zum Spazierengehen, Joggen oder Radfahren einladen. Unser Haus befindet sich direkt an einem Kanal mit einem eigenen privaten Steg, der zum Angeln, Bootfahren oder Kajakfahren einlädt. Es ist nur ein kurzer Spaziergang zum Strandzugang, wo Sie Ihren Sonnenschirm aufklappen und die Schönheit und Ruhe des Sandes und der Brandung genießen können.

Unser Haus verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer und 3. 5 Bäder. Jedes Schlafzimmer verfügt über einen Fernseher und wir bieten auch WiFi-Zugang. Es gibt Decks, eine abgeschirmte Veranda mit Schaukeln und eine Hängematte zum Entspannen und Genießen der wunderschönen Sonnenuntergänge. Große Fenster geben Ihnen einen tollen Blick auf das Wasser. Wir haben sowohl Essbereiche im Freien als auch im Innenbereich sowie einen Grill und eine gut ausgestattete Küche. Die Salt Box verfügt über 2 wundervolle geschlossene Außenduschen, die das Aufräumen nach einem Tag am Strand zum Kinderspiel machen!

Housekeeping do better!!

We had a good time, it’s the Beach!! The house is as described the number of beds/bedrooms & bathrooms worked very well for our family. The kitchen is well stocked with spices also. There was plenty of cleaning supplies, its nice that they are left and not removed, The kids had a great time kayaking and fishing from the dock. Easy walk to the beach which is were we hung out most of the time. Great shelling!! The bedding is not in the best condition, we were charged $100 for blankets that were stained by previous guest. The housekeepers could do better.

Great house!

The pictures online are outdated! Recent updates made it a wonderful surprise when we walked in. The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes. Canal access was great for kayaking. Quiet street. Would definitely stay again!

Best Atlantic Beach Rental

Thoroughly enjoyable. Very comfortable home. Our extended family of ten had plenty of room. Kitchen is well equipped and supplied. Screened in porch overlooks the waterway. The web site photos are a bit out of date insofar as there has been evident painting and other well done improvements made to modernize and harmonize the overall appearance. The owners investments in the home such as large deluxe washer and dryer, twin beach showers, and plentiful beach furniture for outdoor seating make for a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended. My wife and I feel it’s the Best Atlantic Beach rental we’ve experienced in three decades of vacationing.

The New Saltbox

Wow! We were amazed at all of the updates done to this house. The pictures were definitely outdated. Very spacious. Plenty of room. I loved the screened porch and dock. Everything we needed in the house was supplied. I did brake my hand when I tripped on the dock our last night. No one’s fault. At least it was the end of our vacation.

Great for boaters

Great for boaters, it was very nice not having to trailer boats everyday. House is a bit dated and in need of some maintenance, but overall, clean and accommodating for a everyone. The only downfall was towels are not provided, even though linens are provided on listing, so pack your towels!!!

Very nice property, we enjoyed our stay. It does seem to flood more in front of house more than other parts of street, and little bit longer of walk to beach access, but otherwise super nice home and we enjoyed our stay!

A hidden gem

We absolutely loved this place for our family week at the beach! The layout is wonderful and we had tons of room. The dock was great for fishing on the canal. The walk to the beach was an easy one. We will definitely be back soon!

Great for family memories

Owner was great to communicate with. Ample room for a family of four. Short walk to the beach and multiple seafood markets within a short drive. Our kids caught their first fish off the dock so bring some fishing gear or head to to the tackle store next to Food Lion.

It was relaxing and not too far from beach. there was pots and pans and utensils for us to use

It was nice to have the canal and doc for kids to go fishing. the grill was nice for our dinner one night. the kids enjoyed the hammock and the outside showers were nice to come in after the beach and get cleaned off. The washer and dryers were down stairs which was nice but would have been more convenient up stairs. over all a great time.

Recent visit to The Saltbox.

Very spacious interior. Owners had worked hard before we arrived to clean up hurricane residue. As an older property, kitchen contents (dishes, silverware, cookware) could be organized, downsized and updated. Also, cleanliness was an issue. Under beds, baseboards, tabletops, decorative items, blinds had not been cleaned in a while. This was disappointing.

The pictures online don’t do this place justice. The house was spacious and had plenty of room to fit our whole family around the dining table or enjoy a meal outside on the picnic table. I especially like the large window overlooking the canal.

Great value close to the beach.

This place is great, the house was clean with lots of space. The kitchen has everything you could need. Beach toys, crab pot, minnow trap and wagons all provided. Beach is about block walk, nothing to get too. Mary was a little slow to respond but she was very helpful with our questions. Planning our next trip now!

Family Vacation at the Salt Box

We had a great week at Holden Beach! The weather was hot, but the house and the ocean were wonderful. The online pictures did not do the house justice. The remodel made it more beautiful and comfortable for our group of 9.

Perfect week at the beach

We had a fabulous time at Holden Beach. This house is well maintained and a perfect setup for our family. 3 1/2 baths and two outside showers are nice extras. Kitchen has everything you need including plenty of spices; and there are plenty of toys, a wagon and a beach cart so you don’t need to pack your own. With young children the banister between the property and the canal took some of the worries away. The older kids and adults loved fishing off the dock and we used our own kayaks to cruise the canals. The walk to the beach was short as the beach access is really close. You’ll love this place.

A vacation home that feels like home!

As always we enjoyed our stay at The Saltbox. Such a comfortable house to feel at home in. If you like to prepare your meals during your stay, the kitchen has everything you may need. Plenty of pots, pans, baking dishes, utensils, etc. The outdoor area provides a great place to relax and watch some beautiful morning sunrises. The convenience of the boat dock for ease of access to the Intercoastal waterway makes boating all week such a pleasure. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay!

Nice clean 4 bedroom home.

The Salt Box in Holden Beach, NC was the perfect getaway for my family. Each room has its own bathroom, so no sharing. The bedrooms were decorated in a classic charm. The main room down stairs was a spacious place for all to hang out with plenty of seating. Noise from the early morning persons was minimal, sound didn't carry through walls as other houses do on Holden. Porches were inviting. Dock was well kept and fun to swim off of in the late afternoon high tide. The kitchen was well stocked...needed a mixer and electric fry pan...so bring these items. The master bedroom mattress was well past its prime. I put a pillow under my side of mattress. Hurricane Irma had my sister heading back to Atlanta early..bad traffic. Glad hurricane didn't get too close to Holden. Overall a nice quiet week after Labor Day to stay.

We are a retired couple from High Point, NC. We thought a photo of some of our grandchildren enjoying Holden Beach might be more interesting than a photo of us! We have had so many wonderful times at Holden and know that you will too. We enjoy fishing, boating, walking on the beach and golfing at the many nearby courses.

After years of vacationing at Holden Beach, we decided to purchase The Salt Box. We have enjoyed many wonderful days with our children and grandchildren at this beach. We love the relaxed atmosphere and sneak away to the beach every chance we get!

Our home offers direct access to the canals leading to the ICW with your own private dock. The dock is also great for swimming, fishing and boating. We are just a short walk to the beach too. The living space is very open so you can enjoy meals and leisure time inside as well. We have lots amenities to make your stay a pleasure! You can head to the beach, jump on a boat or choose from one of several outdoor decks to relax.
