Welcome to the perfect getaway cabin! Our home is located on a quiet private road off of Route 16, close to the quaint Village of North Conway. Newly renovated spacious kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 full bathrooms and a new deck make for a comfortable stay. Minutes from Storyland and close to Restaurants, Outlet Shopping, and Valley Attractions. Our home is ideally located for Hiking and Skiing. Echo lake, Diana's bath, Cathedral ledge minutes away.
**PLEASE NOTE: Pet Fee $100**
Our Space is unique because of its ski/snowboard/hiking lodge feel. You will feel on vacation for sure with the surrounding woods and proximity to downtown North Conway. We love meeting new people and look forward to welcoming you into our home. We have extremely fast Internet, smart TVs and games for the Xbox 360 in the living room. We have Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video available on all the TVs.
COVID CLEANING PROTOCOL ON OUR HOME:
We use a professional cleaning crew to take care of our home and they complete the following actions on EVERY cleaning.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces like doorknobs, light switches, remotes, stove buttons, sinks, toilet handles etc.
- Use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
- Refer to cleaning checklists to thoroughly clean each room
- Provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay
- Comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines
You are renting the entire house, nothing is shared.
Jeremiah and Lisseth are my co-hosts and will be available at all times if you need anything. They will send you their personal cell phone once the booking is made.
There are only 2 year round residents that live on the private road. Its very quiet and there is no through traffic as it is a private road with no outlet.
Local transportation may be available (Uber, taxi, etc) but to see the mountains and sites, we recommend you come with your own car. There are a few restaurants within reasonable walking distance, but would require crossing a busy road with no sidewalks and poor lighting at night.
- This home is appropriate for families and small groups with a maximum of 6 adults plus children. We live on a quiet residential street and are unable to accommodate events or parties of any kind.
- In the winter, the hill to get to our home can be slippery. If you are renting a car to come and visit the mountains, we highly recommend something with 4 wheel drive for our road but also for the town as well.
- We do have cable TV which includes allv standard broadcast channels and a select group of ten cable channels, for example, ESPN, History, etc.
- The home is split into two sections. A bottom half and a street-level half. The bottom half has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, and a laundry room.
- Please also note that the $350 security deposit is never charged unless you damage something in the home. (many people ask about that)
HEAT INFORMATION:
WALL MOUNTED MINI-SPLITS:
(use remote controller) heat the entire home adequately. Please use these units, found in the upper and lower level living rooms to make the home generally comfortable. When you leave for the day, please leave the wall-mount units at 60°F.
INDIVIDUAL THERMOSTATS in each bedroom, the lower level hall, and lower level bath can be used for supplemental heat as necessary. In particular, when bedrooms are occupied and doors are closed, the electric baseboard will often be necessary. When bedrooms are unoccupied or you leave the home for the day, please leave the thermostats at 55°F. The goal is for these units to remain off during the day/rooms aren’t being used, as they are wildly inefficient.
THE NEST THERMOSTAT only controls the upstairs living room and kitchen and should generally remain OFF.
**If you decide to use the fireplace, PLEASE TURN OFF THE WALL-MOUNTED MITSUBISHI NEXT TO IT. When the fan turns on, it will draw smoke from the fireplace into the living room. If you find that the fireplace is not providing enough heat for your comfort, you can supplement using the electric baseboard controlled by the Nest thermostat. Please turn it off when the fire dies down and you begin to use the Mitsubishi again. **
PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a dog, you must have them approved first by messaging us and then, you must add them to your reservation. There is an additional cleaning fee that will be automatically added to your reservation when you add your dog. Cats are strictly prohibited.
ESA's are not exempt from the additional cleaning fee.
We would like you to read over these simple rules for our home and let us know if you have any questions:
1 - NO PARTIES.
2 - NO SMOKING IN THE HOUSE.
3 - No shoes in the house. You are welcome to BYOS (bring your own slippers!).
4 - Be conscious about the energy. We try to reduce our impact on our environment. We request our guests to be conscious of the energy and resources they use as well. Please make sure you turn the lights off when you are not using a room. Same idea with the hot water and heat (see heat details below)
5 - We recycle, there are bins in the garage to separate glass/plastic/paper/aluminum.
6 - Please close the doors. There are mosquitos and insects outside, we would like to avoid them getting trapped inside the house.
7 - An additional renters agreement may be provided which must be signed prior to your arrival.
8 - Renter must be over 25 years old.
