The Space:
This is my special condo. When I bought/renovated this condo, I was going through one of those life phases where things were pretty hard, but as I chiseled away at this condo, feeling stressed and overwhelmed, I also felt peace and strength in this comforting little space I was able to claw together with old Mother Ocean, right out the window, steadfast in stunning shades of all kinds of beautiful blues. That's a mouthful. In short, this is where I stay to get away. It's comforting, walking distance to my favorite gems, it's in a smaller resort where I've gotten to know so many people including the downstairs store owner, Michael. It's my little village. On to the specifics :)
Bedroom:
The bedroom features a comfy, new king bed with new 12-inch mattress, plush duvet, smart TV with cable, full closet, dresser and beach chairs. Linens are provided. Everything you need for a comfortable, easy stay.
Kitchen:
While one of my favorite things about this location is being able to walk to so many restaurants - breakfast, lunch and dinner, I have certain foods I eat regularly that I like to make at home so I wanted to functional kitchen. For a one bedroom condo, this has a pretty decent kitchen. Shaker cabinets that have nice pots & pans, dishes, knife sets, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, drip/Keurig combo coffee maker, bowl coffee filters provided, refrigerator, freezer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and a large peninsula with quartz countertops and bar stools - everything you need to prepare meals and snacks during your stay. A starter set of trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, paper towels, dish towels and sponge are provided.
Living Room:
There is an open concept main living space with a combined kitchen, dining and living room overlooking the ocean. There is a queen sleeper sofa, arm chair, dining table with seating for four, 55" inch smart TV with cable and did I mention the ocean?
The balcony has two comfy chairs, a small table and the most energizing, direct views of the Atlantic Ocean where we occasionally see whales in the winter and dolphin year round! There's little I enjoy more than having coffee with the sunrise. Being an end unit, you get the added bonus of also seeing vibrant sunsets out the side windows.
Bathroom:
The bath room features a new, large double-sink vanity with quartz countertop, tub/shower combo, commode, and plenty of hooks for wet swimsuits. Towels, hair dryer and a starter set of toilet tissue, hand soap, bar soap and shampoo are provided. Ladies - the shampoo is more "guy who will wash his hair with anything" shampoo so you'll want to bring yours from home if you know what I mean. My cleaning team graciously provides them so I don't complain :)
Resort Amenities:
Enjoy all the wonderful amenities the resort has to offer, including both indoor and outdoor heated pools, spas, and new deck furniture. The pools are smaller, but they are generally pretty laid back and relaxing, especially in the off season when crowds have thinned. The oceanfront lawn has lots of seating, dining tables, and umbrellas with views of the palm trees, dunes, grass, ocean and sky. Additional amenities include a multi-level parking garage, 24-hour secured building entrances, and onsite laundry facilities.
The onsite beach market offers refreshments, beach souvenirs, and travel essentials Spring through Fall, making your stay even more convenient.
Parking:
Guests may park in the parking garage located directly across the street from the resort. The height clearance of the garage is 6'11". There are a few parking spaces for oversized vehicles, but we cannot guarantee availability. The city of Myrtle Beach has a lot of metered spaces close by. Resort policy allows for one parking space per condo. Motorcycles are allowed to park in the parking garage; however, trailers and golf carts are not.
Resort Location:
Meridian Plaza is located at 2310 N. Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. It's a short, easy walk to the Convention Center, gobs of great restaurants & bars, Starbucks, ice cream shops, miniature golf and is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, Sky Wheel & CCMF. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from the airport, several golf courses and both Tanger outlet malls.
For those traveling with a group, in addition to this condo, I also manage five others in this resort. We are walking distance to the Convention Center, CCMF. See my profile for all of my Myrtle Beach listings and my Lake Gaston homes too!
The City of Myrtle Beach is rerouting storm water and building a pier in front of the resort next to Meridian. We are excited for both initiatives; however, there are some growing pains associated with these improvements - ie construction. As a small, local business owner, I extend heartfelt gratitude for your support while the city works to better Myrtle Beach and have reduced my listed prices by over 15% from last year and am offering an additional 10% off weekly rentals. Please reach out with any questions. PS, despite construction, this is still my go-to condo to get away, focus, work, reset and recharge.
Guest Access:
The resort offers two step-free entrances that are locked 24 hours/day and may be accessed with a four digit code which guests will receive on their arrival day. Guests may use any of the resort's amenities, common areas, elevators, and laundromat. The condo has a keyless lock that requires a code for entry which guests will receive when the condo is ready.
There aren't any stairs required for entry into the building or condo; however, the condo's hallways, doorways and bathroom facilities are not wheelchair accessible.
The Neighborhood:
So much to do (and eat!) within walking distance of this condo! The Convention Center is less than a half mile away. Starbucks, SOHO, bagel shops, Tin Roof, Lu Lu's, Harry's, Donald's, Sea Captain's House - all within a few short blocks - eat your heart out!
Other Things to Note:
We do not have a washing machine or dryer inside the condo; however, the resort offers a pay-per-use laundromat onsite adjacent to the indoor pool. The machines accept coin payment as well as payments using an app.
The resort has ice and drink machines located on the north side of the building.
Interaction with Guests:
Though I do not live onsite, you are welcome to message me through Airbnb with any questions! Airbnb will allow sharing of my phone number once a reservation is confirmed.
