The space
Be one of the 1st to experience Foxy Way Chalet- a stunning home in one of High Country's lost ski resorts that operated in the 70s and 80s. The Foxy Way Chalet is a vintage home that we hope invokes the feeling of falling back in time. This mid century chalet has been curated with vintage accents to bring the home back to its' original glory. Located in a private community at the base of Seven Devils, 4 miles to Grandfather Mtn and 8 miles to Boone, your winters can be spent skiing at Sugar and Beech while summers can be spent hiking Grandfather or our neighborhood trails.
If you have kids, like we do, our home is perfect for you! Our neighborhood amenities is incredible for your family.

- Curtain in the doorway provides privacy to the bedroom, while allowing those sleeping on the Murphy bed to have easy bathroom access.

-Slide the couch out of the way and easily pull the Murphy bed down.
-Dedicated space for personal items next to the laundry room with luggage rack and hooks.

- Fridge has an ice maker and purified water dispenser. We are on city water that is perfectly safe to drink and our family does when at the home.

We have two living areas that are perfect for adults traveling with kids to have their own spaces. Adults can enjoy their favorite drink while gathering around the dining table for a game of cards and the kids can head downstairs to watch a movie or play foosball.

Our HOA works to maintain the roads, but please note that the upper driveway has a short steep incline and you will need AWD during winter weather to park in this drive. This driveway is very close to the front door. The lower driveway is completely flat to pull into but it does require stairs to access the home. Two SUVs fit in the upper driveway and two SUVS fit in the lower drive. If using the upper driveway, vehicles that ride low, like sedans should hug the left side of the driveway to clear the steep decline. Please be aware of this at the time of booking and make appropriate plans for your stay. If you aren't sure please ask us any questions as we are happy to help.
Electronic keypad entry on the main level. Guests will have access to the entire house.
Our home has two sets of steep stairs, please keep this in mind when considering members of your party.
Other things to note-
Our neighbor has a very sweet and very old black dog. He takes a stroll down our street and through our yard every evening. He walks through the yard quickly and will not bother you.
Please drive slowly, a groundhog family lives on our street under the deck of the old ski lodge.

We cannot predict or control the weather, so we don't offer refunds due to inclement weather. Please keep this in mind when booking and consider travel insurance if necessary!
AC will be available in June, July, August and September. If you have any questions about availability, please message me.
The gas burning stove (indoors) is available November-March.
Please remember that you’re staying in our home, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
When we saw this neighborhood I immediately knew it was "the one". The community has tennis courts, a pool, swings, a basketball court, a hiking trail, and a grassy area for to toss the football around. To top it off the views were stunning and the drive was easy. I knew this was the perfect spot for kids to run and play. The house is fantastic, but the community is unbeatable. This neighborhood is meant for making memories with family and friends.
