Online checkin process not as smooth as it could have been. I had to ask for the link to get property details. The link provided at first didn’t work when sent through the VRBO messaging system. It had to be sent via email. We arrived to find an obviously aging property with stained furniture, peeling paint, and missing window screens or screens with holes in them. That wouldn’t be as much an issue for us, but the floor was sticky, there was dirty silverware in the drawer, and housekeeping had failed to clean up spilled olive oil on the coffee table. Fortunately the bathrooms and bedroom were clean with clean linens. We looked for the required pool pass to go swimming at the recreation center but couldn’t find it in the property. When we messaged the owner about this, we were simply told to look harder for it. Wow. Not sure if they were just being patronizing, or were hiding the fact
That they no longer had the pass, and were not planning to replace it. They shouldn’t be advertising pool access if they don’t have it. It was inconvenient for us as paying guests.
