Relax year round in the screened in porch and hot tub with space for 5 adults, overlooking a private yard with towering Sycamore, blue spruce pines and honey locusts. Offering a full, updated kitchen for you, the Blue Door is a quiet haven, but just 1.5 miles away from Starbucks, Target, dining and more! Washer/Dryer is also available for guest use only.

This property is in an ideal location for convenience:
Less than 2 miles away, you'll find all the comforts of Starbucks, Dunkin, Chipotle, Shwarma, Poke Bros, Target, Panera, Walgreens, Jewel and gas stations. Endless options for food like The Village Squire and Coronado's offer great sit down meals. Nick's Pizza & Pub is fantastic for pizza and beer. Portillo's is across the street along with Sam's Club, Walmart and Chik Fil A.

The Great Western Trail is 6 miles away. Marcus Elgin Theater is 10 minute drive. Lamplight Equestrian Center is a 12 minute drive, and the Fox River Trolley Museum is even closer.

Wonderful relaxing retreat

My husband and I went with our 2 daughters and had an incredible experience. Our host made sure everything we needed was available to make sure our stay was perfect. The house was kept at a comfortable temperature and even with the cold night we were warm. The hot tub was a great bonus to relax in after dinner. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat multiple meals at the spacious dining room. We had plenty of comfortable beds to sleep in and the kids loved the bunk bed with the tv in the room to hang out in. I would definitely recommend and come back anytime I am in the area.

This home is truly an oasis of calm in the quiet western area of unincorporated homes. The big 1 acre lots, mature trees, natural habitats for wildlife and privacy is what makes this area special. There's plenty of room to move, to enjoy nature, see the wildlife, all from the big screened in deck with a hot tub. Even though the stores and shopping are less than 1.5 miles away, you feel like you're in a quiet bubble of calm, outside of the hustle and bustle.

Our house has a resident Owl in the backyard. She's been building her nests and raising fledglings year after year in the back yard. The summer time brings lightning bugs and blooming flowers across the property. Fall brings bright leaves, really giant ones from the Sycamore, and pine cones from the Blue Spruce.
