Lovely setting but guest experience missed the mark
Ana's home was very clean, and the outdoor space was exactly what I was hoping for. We thoroughly enjoyed the view, the firepit, the hot tub, and the grill.
The home feels like a new short-term rental after a quick property flip. The host or owner should take some time to outfit it appropriately, prepare for guests, and tend to unfinished details.
The home is missing things needed for a reasonable stay for 4 people. The kitchen only had 4 coffee cups and lacked water glasses, dishtowels or potholders, ice cube trays, a cutting board, wooden spoons, and pans. Outside of the kitchen, there weren't any coasters on the tables, and no grill tools other than a kitchen spatula. The first floor bedroom curtains are thin and the morning sun beamed right thru.
The home didn't feel prepared for guests either. Ana said the hot tub was ready, but it wasn't on and the water was 60 degrees. We had to add hose water to get to the right water level and wait overnight for it to get hot. The TV remote was missing batteries, the FireStick remote was dead, and the fireplace remote didn't work either. The front porch light wasn't on when we arrived, so I had to kneel with my phone flashlight to put in the code to the lockbox.
A lot of attention was put into decorative signs and pillows, but the home would benefit from paint and wallpaper touch-ups, removing old curtain hardware and old doorbell box.
With attention and care, this could be a five-star home but it is not there yet.
