Welcome to Roadrunner Ranch! Ideally located 5 minutes from JTNP and town of JT.
Roadrunner Ranch is a 3 bed/2 bath house + private homesteader cabin set on 2 acres with amazing amenities, mature Joshua trees, cacti and other native flora and fauna. Ideally located off a paved road on a private lot 5 minutes from the main (west) entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and 5 mins from town.
Top priority is given to your privacy. Any communication/questions you need answered before or during your stay are easy by text, phone or email.
The home is in the quiet Joshua Tree Highlands, the most beautiful and convenient area in Joshua Tree. You'll be only 5 minutes from the national park entrance in one direction and 5 minutes from the town in the other direction. The home is one of the few in the area on a paved road for easy access, yet has plenty of privacy and is surrounded by stunning scenery.
The property is a full 2 acres and guests are allowed access to the entire property to explore the many native Joshua trees, cacti, and other native flora on the property. The cabin has a couple steps to the porch and another couple steps from the porch to get inside. The house has only about an 8 inch step from the driveway to the porch and threshold to get in the house of only an inch. The house is very friendly for those with trouble walking or in a wheelchair.

- Open-concept home connecting living room, dining room and kitchen
- Local Organic Joshua Tree Coffee Co whole beans and an assortment of teas
- Oxo drip coffee-maker, Chemex pour-over, Aeropress, french press ( coffee nerd here ;)
- Hotel quality high-thread count sheets
- TV with Roku player for you to log into any of your streaming subscriptions
- High-quality Klipsch bluetooth speaker
- EV charger (this is a J-1772 charger, if you have a Tesla, please bring your adapter)
- Washer/dryer
- Well stocked kitchen w/ olive oil, spices, sharp knives, large variety of pots n’ pans, rice cooker, blender, most things you’ll need to cook a gourmet meal
- Highchair, pack-n-play crib for the ‘lil ones
- House is on Quail Springs Rd., which is a paved road. Most homes in this neighborhood, which is the most desirable in the area, require driving up rutted dirt roads
- Location is equidistant between the National Park and entrance and the town of Joshua Tree - 5 minutes in either direction.
BEDROOMS
Bedroom 1: queen bed, en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower and washer/dryer
Bedroom 2: queen bed, built-in desk for WFH, sliding door to back patio, shared marble bathroom
Bedroom 3: full bed, built-in desk for WFH, shared marble bathroom, 2 additional memory foam fold out twin beds in closet
Bedroom 4 (cabin): queen bed, dining table, kitchenette, coffee, full bath
One mile from the main park entrance and two miles to the town of Joshua Tree, this cabin is easy to find and makes navigating the area a breeze.
I would not recommend renting my home if you do not have a car although you can get get an Uber/Lyft from Yucca Valley or Joshua Tree if needed.
We encourage longer stays, the following discounts will be applied for stays of longer than 2 days:
3-6 nights - 10% discount
7+ nights - 20% discount
Wifi:
Fast and reliable for working from house or cabin. It is not possible to get blazing fast internet in this rural location, but my connection is plenty fast for Zoom, streaming movies, etc.
Hot tub:
The hot tub is serviced on Tuesdays and Fridays between the hours of 11-3pm. The service person will only be by for about 10 minutes. Please shower before entering the hot tub or cowboy tub - this ensures the water stays safe and clean for all guests.
Pets:
We now allow dogs. Please adhere to the following rules:
- 1 pre-approved dog permitted per stay with additional $100 pet fee
- Must be house-broken/potty-trained
- May not be left on the property alone
- We suggest dogs to stay on-leash and supervised when in the yard for the protection of local wildlife and their own safety (dogs not used to the desert will get lots of painful spikes in their paws)
**The yard is not fenced
Security:
There are security cameras but they can only view the driveway and perimeter of the property. Cameras CANNOT view anywhere that guests will spend time – indoors, front porch, back patio, or hot tub area.
The property comfortably sleeps 8 people, with 4 large beds, but I do allow up to 10 guests. If over 8 guests, I charge an additional $20/guest/night and will provide a comfortable twin foldable floor mattress and bedding for each additional guest over 8, max 10 guests.
