One of our Board Members (Ruth Wheeler, HVVOA INFO > HVVOA BOARD OF DIRECTORS) and our Managers (Curt and Karen House ABOUT > ONSITE MANAGEMENT) have been INCREDIBLY suspicious of Disabled Guests who are accompanied by a Service Animal. On multiple occasions, they have confronted Disabled Guests to determine whether the Guest is misrepresenting a pet as a Service Animal. Sometimes this is due to the breed of the Dog, or because a Disability isn't clearly apparent. Please familiarize yourself with them so that you aren't startled if Ruth, Karen, or Curt approach you or a disabled member in your Group to conduct their 'investigation.' They are only authorized to ask the following:
1. Is the dog a service animal required for a Disability?
2. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
