Welcome to "Moose Lake Retreat," nestled on the shores of Moose Lake in Hayward, WI. This cozy 3-bedroom log cabin accommodates up to 6 guests, providing a warm and inviting escape. Direct access to ATV and snowmobile trails ensures adventure is at your doorstep. Cast a line from the dock, or simply relax by the cozy fireplace. Discover the charm of Hayward and the tranquility of Moose Lake while you unplug, disconnect, and relax at Moose Lake Retreat!

This home truly has room for your family to spread out and enjoy.

The kitchen is stocked with the basics. A electric stove top, oven, microwave. The kitchen has a Keurig Duo, crockpot, toaster, pots and pans and more!

Dinning room includes large table with seating for 6. Dishes are provided for you to cook a family meal.

The living room opens up to allow seating for 6 with two couches and 1 casual sitting chair. A 45" TV with Roku for you to log in and enjoy any of your streaming apps. DVD player with some movies for rainy days or movies of your own. Complimentary WI-FI for guests to use.

Escape the hustle and embrace tranquility! Our peaceful lakefront home invites you to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with the north woods.

There is no garage available for guest use, outdoor parking only. You can park up to 4 cars, or 2 trucks and 2 trailers.

Back yard deck with chairs available during summer months. Firepit area with additional seating to gather around the campfire. Kayak free of charge for guests to use. Life vests are required. Room of one boat to dock on our private dock, you will tie off to the end of the dock. Please do not jump off the dock, as tempting as it may seem, there are large rocks under the water. Safety is our main concern when it comes to all outdoor activities, so please use caution near the water!! Thank you. No Life guard on duty, swim at your own risk.

NOTE- This home is for family vacations and small friend group get togethers and is in an exclusive neighborhood. It is not to be used as a party home. You must be 25 or older to rent this home. It is only through your responsible actions that we can continue to offer this private home as a rental. Please respect our home and take good care of it.

DOG FRIENDLY
We LOVE dogs and we want our guests to enjoy their vacation with the whole family, including the furry members :-) That being said, please be mindful of whether our home is appropriate for your dog. We do charge a 125$ non refundable pet fee per stay.
We may not be the vacation rental for you if your dog:
*Consider barking to be a favorite pastime;
*Chew things other than bones;
*Like to visit the neighbors unsupervised (we do not have a fenced-in yard), and/or;
*Use the house as a bathroom.

Please bring all needed dog items with you, we allow up to one 65 lbs dog. We ask that your dog be supervised when at the cabin and crated when you are not. Also, it should not need to be said (but unfortunately needs to be, as we have had guests leave enough surprises for us), but PLEASE pick up after your dogs!! It is NOT the responsibility of our cleaners. Pet damages will be invoiced to the guest if damages is above our pet fee of 125$. Guest is fully responsible for their pet while staying with us.

About the Lake: Moose Lake is a 1559 acre lake located in Sawyer County. It has a maximum depth of 21 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass and Walleye. The lake's water is moderately clear.

Moose Lake is an awesome boating experience with its inverted “V” shape, extensive shoreline and varied experience from top to bottom. Moose is recognized by the DNR for its high-water quality and is a healthy fishery with an active loon population.

We thought a few helpful tips would contribute to your boating experience while providing an opportunity to support Moose Lake’s “Northwoods” appeal.

1. The Moose Lake Improvement Association (MILA) marks major rock hazards.
2. Please note, though that there are a few large rocks at the mouth of our bay in 3-4 feet of water. We suggest keeping your prop elevated until out of the bay.
3. Please move in and out of the bay just above idle speed (less than 1500 rpm) as we are blessed with a very sandy bay that is also prone to some erosion.
4. Although we are unable to offer access to our lift, it is possible to dock in front of the boathouse, where the water is approximately 3 feet deep. We recommend tying to the dock and anchoring at the bow. The dock has a few large bumpers for support.

IMPORTANT: You can rest easy knowing your space is covered with $3,000 In "All-Risk" Damage Protection. Although rare, accidental damage from guests does happen. Traditionally, this was managed via a security deposit or vacation rental damage insurance purchased by the guest. Both are cumbersome and often have big limitations in protection. With "all-risk" protection, all accidental damage from guests is covered unless it's specifically excluded such as, but not limited to, normal wear and tear, infestation, or prior damage. Pet damages will be invoiced to the guest if damages is above our pet fee of 125$. Guest is fully responsible for their pet while staying with us.
Relax and Enjoy your Stay: It's Vacation time, so enjoy it with the peace of mind knowing that if an accident happens and damage occurs, you are protected under Waivo!

The first 50% of your reservation total will be charged at the time of booking.

The second 50% of your reservation will be charged sixty (60) days prior to your check in.
USE OF PREMISES. It is understood and agreed by the Parties, that the Tenant shall use the demised premises for the purpose of vacationing only. Landlord does not rent to vacationing students or singles under the age of twenty-five (25), unless they are supervised at all times by an adult or guardian or parent. By renting this property, the Tenant agrees there will be no vacationing students or singles under the age of twenty-five (25) in the premises, unless they are so supervised. Violation of such paragraph, would terminate the tenancy at the time of knowledge, forfeiting any and all security deposit and still require the Tenant to pay for the full term of the occupancy, without recourse.

FIREWORKS: It is hereby understood and agreed by all parties that no fireworks may be set off at any time, in the premises or on the grounds. Violation of this provision will be subject to a $500 fine per occurrence plus the Tenant will be responsible for any and all damages to the property and to the property of any neighbors. Again, there are absolutely NO fireworks allowed to be discharged on premises.

ITEMS PROVIDED. Landlord shall provide all bedding, basic kitchen accessories, kitchen, hand and dish soap, fire pit.

ITEMS NOT PROVIDED. The Guest shall be responsible for providing the following, but not limited, items: beach towels, bathroom soap and hair shampoo, firewood (if you want to have a bonfire and something to light the fire with), yard toys (like volleyball, frisbees, soccer ball, softball and bat, football to play catch with), DVD's for a rainy day, and board games. It is also understood that there is not a landline telephone at the premises.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY. It is hereby agreed and understood by all parties, that the maximum number of guests on-site is limited to the maximum occupancy listed in the description above. In the event, a Tenant is determined that more than the max occupancy of guests are on-site, other than visiting, this may be grounds for immediate eviction and all advance payments will be forfeited.

CAMPERS OR TENTS: No campers or tents are allowed on-premises.

CHECK OUT TIME: is 10:00 AM. If no prior arrangements have been made for a late checkout, you may be charged up to $150 per hour to cover the extra time housekeeping must wait.

FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS. It is understood and agreed by the parties, that any reservation obtained under false pretenses will be grounds for immediate eviction and all advance payments will be forfeited.

INDEMNIFICATION. It is hereby understood and agreed that 1919 Properties, LLC, Property Owners and its employees, agents, or principals and assigns, shall not be liable for any and all damage or injury to or of the Tenant, Tenant's family, guests, invitees, agents or employees or other persons entering the premises and Tenant hereby agrees to indemnify, defend and hold 1919 Properties LLC and Property Owners harmless for any and all claims or assertions of any kind or nature as a result of injuries which may occur on the premises. This indemnification includes, but is not limited to, any damage or injury which may be incurred by Tenant, Tenant's family, guests, invitees, agents or employees or to any other person for damages or injuries which may arise from any contact, act, inaction, interaction from any and all animals, domestic or wild, which such damage or injury occurs on the premises.

EMERGENCY ACCESS. It is understood and agreed that the Landlord shall have access to the premises at all times for emergency purposes. If it is a non-emergency, Landlord shall be required to provide Tenant with a twenty-four (24) hour notice, which may be verbal and/or written. Tenant agrees to not unreasonably withhold access to the premises.

Anniversary Getaway

Our stay at Moose Lake was peaceful and relaxing. Briar and Patrick were wonderful hosts. Very easy to contact and they responded promptly. We wpuld definitely stay again.
