Lopaka's Family Lodge ist eine neue, schöne und makellose Unterkunft in tropischer Umgebung, direkt über der Innenstadt von Hilo. Es ist ein geräumiges (840 sq. Ft., Plus 160 sq. Ft. Lanai) 1 BR, 1BA und kommt mit allem, was Sie brauchen, einschließlich Waschmaschine und Trockner. Der private Eingang ist eine kurze Treppe mit sechs Stufen hinauf. Die Lodge ist durch einen Gehweg und eine große Terrasse von der Residenz des Eigentümers getrennt und bietet Privatsphäre für jede Einheit.

Die Lodge befindet sich in einer reizenden Gegend, in der Sie nach einem heißen Tag eine kühle Bergbrise und eine 150 m² große Veranda (überdachte Terrasse) erwarten! Sie wohnen 10 Minuten von der Innenstadt von Hilo, 15 Minuten vom Einkaufszentrum und 48 km vom Vulkan-Aussichtsgebiet entfernt.

Die Küche der Lodge verfügt über alle modernen Annehmlichkeiten: Geschirrspüler, Mikrowelle, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Kühlschrank, Herd, Müllentsorgung, Mixer, Reiskocher, Salatschleuder und vieles mehr. Der Eigentümer der Lodge bietet kostenlosen Kaffee, Tee, Milch, Zucker und Truvia. Sie können an der Frühstücksbar oder im Essbereich speisen.

Das wunderschön eingerichtete Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett, einen neuen Schreibtisch mit bequemem gepolstertem Stuhl, kostenloses WIFI, einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank, einen Wecker und einen CD-Player. Es gibt auch ein Twin-Day-Bett mit Rollbett im Wohnzimmer, das Platz für zwei Personen bietet.

Der Wäschebereich in der Lodge ist mit einer stapelbaren Waschmaschine und einem Trockner ausgestattet. Waschmittel (ohne Duft), Bleichmittel, Trocknerblätter und Fleckenentferner werden ohne Aufpreis zur Verfügung gestellt.

Sogar das Badezimmer ist voll ausgestattet mit Seife, Shampoo & Conditioner, Fön, Lockenstab, Strandtüchern, Strandmatten und Sonnencreme.

Ein tolles Haus in Hilo

Wir hatten uns für die Regenseite der Insel entschieden, da von dort aus unsere Highlights Mauna Kea, Volcano und die Puna-Region besser erreichbar waren. Empfangen wurden wir von Beverly, einer sehr netten älteren Dame, die uns einperfekt eingerichtetes und sehr sauberes Urlaubsdomizil übergeben hat. Wir waren mit zwei Kindern (13 und 15 Jahre alt) dort und haben uns in dieser geräumigen Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie liegt auch verkehrsgünstig gut, ist aber total ruhig (wenn man von leichten "Urwaldgeräuschen" durch Vögel absieht) und hat wirklich ALLES was man braucht, bis hin zu Shampoo und Duschgel und einer Kofferwaage. Bev ist sehr nett und hat uns alle Fragen gerne beantwortet und uns mit tollen Tips versorgt. Wir können dieses Domizil uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Wonderful place! Tastefully furnished and decorated, spacious, kitchen well-supplied. Large lanai with an amazing view down the hills and over to the ocean. Will stay here again!

Great Hilo Getaway

We had a fantastic stay at Bev’s place in Hilo. The condo was very well appointed, with all of the necessities and more. The Lanai was lovely and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The location was good and was a short walk from the boiling pots. I would book again and highly recommend this place for anyone. We stayed there with our 5 month old son and Bev even provided a lovely pack and play crib for us. Very impressed.

Perfect stay

Great house in a great location. Bev was the perfect host. We thoroughly enjoyed the residence. The kitchen was well appointed with lots of little extras. Sunrise from the lanai was amazing. Less than 10 minutes from downtown. There is no air conditioning, but it was not needed. Only had 1 trivial issue while we were there and it was resolved quickly. Would highly recommend.

Everything is provided

Host was away but did a great job keeping in touch. A super clean and abundantly outfitted detached private unit. Husband was grateful earplugs were provided as the nightly chorus of coqui sounds were quite loud! Convenient location for touring and close to restaurants in Hilo.

Nice quiet neighborhood with view towards ocean

Very well organized, well stocked, and clean freestanding dwelling with deck. If you are sensitive to synthetic scents, like me, you will want to bring your own soap, shampoo & conditioner, and laundry soap. That was the only minus for me because I forgot to pack conditioner and laundry soap.

Comfortable, roomy, nice area. Host shows she really cares--so many little things you might need: need a shipping box "will these do?" Need a sharpie, just look in the drawer Dont like the height of the pillow? Two other types to try Etc etc Microwave was not working and she ran out and got one the same day Coqui frogs were charming Would definitely stay again!

Perfect home base to explore the big island

Clean and comfortable Ohana in a nice neighborhood overlocking Hilo. Ridiculously close to the Boiling Pots with Rainbow Falls and Kaumana Caves in close proximity. Bev is a gracious host if needed. We explored the north, east and south sides of the island from here. Location is far from any flight path going into or out of ITO (Hilo International Airport. We ate out for the most part (I think I gained a few pounds each day), but there’s a rice cooker in the cabinet if needed.

The VERY BEST vacation rental EVER

This has to be the most well-appointed vacation rental we’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in. We were in Hilo for family reasons and the blessing of being able to return to the respite of this home, the stunning lanai, and the graciousness of the most wonderful host cannot be overstated. Thank you, Bev, for everything - especially for letting us know we weren’t about to die when the towns sirens went off for their once-a-month test LOL and checking in on us after the earthquake. It was an eventful 2 weeks and we’re so grateful to have had the peace of Lopaka’s Family Lodge to come “home” to.

Great place

Bev has a great property. She has everything you could need from spare toothbrushes to beach towels and plenty of hangers. The place was super clean and Bev was very helpful throughout. The location is a short drive to downtown and the beach. It’s super close to a couple waterfalls and has a great view of the ocean. I highly recommend it.

Up country cool

This has been the best vacation rental we have stayed in. Very clean, more than well stocked and maintained. Our host Bev was delightful and the location was just right, easy to go in any direction to see the sites. This was away from the hustle and got cool in evening for sleeping. We would highly recommended this unit for a stay in Hilo.

Bev's rental was lovely. It was perfectly clean, spacious and was fully set up with everything we needed. Although we only communicated with Bev via text and email, she was a gracious and very responsive host. She quickly answered any questions we had and made recommendations. We will stay here again when we visit Hilo.

The cottage was amazingly clean, nicely furnished, lots of clean towels, clean dishes, lanai with nice views. In a quiet, cool neighborhood, just a few minutes to downtown Hilo, grocery shopping and restaurants. Very clear communication with the host via text.

Tehe refrigerator fiasco

So I don't usually leave reviews, but I had to tell everybody about how wonderfully bev and her property manager Kim took care of us in a time that could have turned out much worse. First of all, my very first day i ended up locking myself outside on accident and couldn't remember the lock combination and my phone was inside the house with the combination written down. Luckily my partner had their phone and we were able to call vrbo who got us in touch with Kim right away, and we were able to get back in within minutes! Later that day we both got what we think was food poisoning, but we didn't figure out until the next morning that all of our food was going bad because the refrigerator wasn't actually working! I again contacted Kim, and a few minutes later got a call from the property owner Bev, who herself was out of town on a trip but took the time to call me several times throughout pur stay. She immediately dispatched a crew from Sears to come and look at the refrigerator, which unfortunately was not reparable during out stay as they had to order a new part for it. Bev made sure that we got a couple of ice chests from her place that we used throughout the week as a makeshift refrigerator, she paid for all of our ice expenditures, and also paid for our loss of groceries from the first couple of nights of good going bad. Then to top it all off she called in a gift certificate to a really nice restaurant in Hilo called Cafe Pesto just out of her own goodness!

The house was in a convenient and cool location. The unit was well-kept and well-furnished for our needs. It was roomy for the two of us. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. Bev was a wonderful host. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Location

Loved the location of this property and would recommend to others seeking a central location on the big island. Porch (Lanai) has chairs overlooking Hilo. Short drive from rainbow falls and downtown Hilo. The property manager Beverly lives next door and is super friendly/ helpful should you need anything. Full kitchen, bed, and pull out couch bed all exist in the house.

I was born in Hawaii and have a large extended family here. However, I was raised in California, but returned to Hawaii when Bob and I retired.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Lopaka's Family Lodge was originally built to accomodate family and friends. It was named in memory of my late husband, Bob (Lopaka is the Hawaiian name for Robert).
It is such a lovely setting though that it seemed sad to leave it unoccupied when friends and family weren't visiting. That's when I got the idea to offer it as a vacation rental so it can be enjoyed by others.

This has been a joyful experience for me. I've met so many wonderful people from all over the world and my life has been enriched by getting to know them. Some have returned several times and I count them amongst those I call "friends & family".
