Poor building management and HOA communication
We traveled with another group that rented a second unit through another vacation company but we both booked through VRBO. They were made aware two days prior to our check in that the elevator would be unavailable all week. We had no communication from our booking so I reached out for more information. At that time we were told someone verified with the onsite property management and they had just used the elevator and everything was working. Two days later, two hours before check in we were informed that VTrips was just made aware that the elevator was broken and that they were quickly
Working to fix it. Someone was lied to on Thursday either the property manager lied about it working or VTrips lied to us that they verified it was working. We had a person in our party with limited mobility and we were booked on the 4th floor. We asked what would be done to accommodate this last minute since we were lied two when we asked two days prior. We were offered to be put up in a unit off the beach until the elevator was fixed. We declined as we had paid a great deal of money to stay on the beach. Throughout the week there was no one on site looking at or attempting to fix the elevator. The sign that was fixed to the elevator door looked fairly permanent. It was screen printed on, hard card stock not something that someone just quickly printed off and posted on the door further leading us to believe that this elevator has been out of service for sometime.
