OAK HOUSE - 3 Bedroom 4 bathroom house in great location!

This house has it all and is in an ideal location! Close to the Bagnell Dam Strip and a short distance to the community beach. It has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and can comfortably accommodate 14 people in beds. The main level has a bedroom with a king bed and an adjoining bathroom and the lower level has a queen bed and an adjoining full bathroom. The lower level also has a quaint sitting area with a pullout couch, kitchenette with table and 4 chairs, and opens to a patio furnished with additional seating and a grill. The upper level has 4 double beds and a full bathroom, perfect for the kids. The main level boasts a living room with vaulted ceilings, a pullout couch, dining table for 6, a fully stocked kitchen with additional bar seating for 5, and another full bathroom. You'll also find a laundry room with full sized washer and dryer and two lakeview decks on the main level. This house can be rented with the neighboring houses, Cedar, Pine, Hickory and Beachside. This is an ideal setup for a large group! Guests have access to Ozark Yacht Club's private seasonal heated pool, private beach and pavilion, and sand volleyball court. Lodging guests also receive ten percent off all boat rentals. This house is located very close to the historic Bagnell Dam Strip area, just minutes to Baxter’s and JB Hooks Restaurants, favorite golf courses, and many other lake area attractions. Boat slips (uncovered 12' X 36') are available for an additional fee and on a first come basis.

Good and Bad

The layout of the house was good for our needs. The location near the beach was convenient. However, the listing shows 4 bedrooms. The 4th bedroom is separated from the 3rd bedroom by a mere curtain and provides no separation or privacy between the two. For the hefty amount charged for cleaning, the house was a huge disappointment. The infant in our group crawled across the floor once which left her hands and knees BLACK with dirt. There was trash left in the house - in the window sills, under the beds, etc. It appeared the only things cleaned before our arrival were sinks and toilets. They did return to re-clean the floors after our complaint - but the house should be clean BEFORE our arrival. The house is listed to accommodate 16 people. However, the kitchen is poorly equipped for a group that size. There are only 11 dinner plates. There is 1 spatula. There are only 2 small mixing bowls, 2 small fry pans, only small baking sheets. We had to "make do" with the equipment provided in order to cook for our group. Although not specific to this house, the fitness center at OYC is disgusting. Trash is everywhere in the room. Equipment is broken. The floor is filthy. It obviously is NEVER cleaned. Also, the photos of the beach and chairs provided was a little misleading. There are only 3 chairs for all 6 houses on the cove that have access to the beach. While we enjoyed our days at the lake, we would not rent this house again.

The house was awesome! We really enjoyed celebrating my 45th birthday.

The house was very clean. They had enough supplies for all of our meals. We did have to bring our own tissue and paper towels but that was minor. It was a very peaceful and relaxing get away for my family and friends.

Excellent large family lake house

Very enjoyable stay for our extended family of 12. The Yacht Club offer's everything you could want in a Lake vacation. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Thanks for a memorable week at the Lake!

Pleasantly Surprised

Spacious and clean home. Management provided us with ample towels, toilet paper, hand and dish soap. There was a canister of coffee in both kitchens too. A bit tricky to find, so make sure you follow directions provided. Also make sure you have a Garmin , use Google maps or a good road map when getting around if you are not familiar with the area. Was very easy for us to get turned around. Very happy with the layout save that the upper level had a bedroom with 2 queens with ensuite bath and an alcove with 2 queens. The alcove did not afford much privacy as it was separated from the main bedroom by a curtain and anyone sleeping in there had to go through the bedroom to go downstairs or use the bathroom. The great room as 2 queen sleepers and a full bath. Nice sheets and beds were quite comfortable. We had a sleep number in the master bedroom. We spent a lot of time on the attached balconies and walk out covered area on lower level. Lovely open grassy area next to the house as well. We had 3 couples sleeping there for most of the trip. For 2 nites we had 8. There were some maintenance issues, but Gisela quickly arranged for the items to be taken care of. All personnel were courteous and friendly. We rented a pontoon from Ozark Yacht Club and had no problems-nice clean boat and great service. Enjoyed the music and dancing on the weekends at Beachside. They even provided some appetizers! All within walking distance. We ate in a lot, but did go to Tucker's Shucker's which everyone enjoyed. Also very yummy pizza at Lil Rizzo's. Had a Great Lunch while out boating at Beaver's on the Dam-very close to the Yacht Club. Make sure to use bug spray while out...a few of us got bitten by chiggers-not at all pleasant to deal with! All in all a great time was had by all!

Worked out great for our family reunion

We had all of our kids and their families and had a wonderful time. House is spacious and plenty of space for people to have private time. Beach and volleyball court right there. Only problem there was geese poop. Hard for them to control. Boats etc. Were reasonable to rent. Staff was friendly. Golf carts available for the time you are there to rent or you can just use them for short times for no charge. We rented it for the week. House very well equipped and had plenty of parking. Sofa beds a bit uncomfortable. Pool was very close and had plenty of chairs tables etc. Overall a great place to rent for a large group or family event. Would definitely go back.

Beautifully furnished home with multiple decks and dining areas. Perfect for our family reunion.

Fantastic property! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and feed our large family. The bedrooms were generously sized and elegantly furnished. We loved the multiple deck levels that offered separation as needed. Having more than one dining area allowed our large group (20 in total) to easily eat at one time. We took advantage of the private swimming beach and all the kids (aged 8 to 27!) loved the climbing rock tethered in the cove. We also rented boats through the Ozark Yacht Club, which is the property on which the house sits, and had a great experience with that. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained and we took advantage of it on a couple of hot, summer afternoons. Great location for a family reunion. We've been vacationing as a large group for over 20 years and we voted this property with all its amenities one of our favorites.

not bad plenty of room

we had plenty of room. the beach was very nice. loved the swimming pool. kitchen was large and well equipped for cooking. beds were comfy. carpet on stairs was dirty and showing wear in places. quiet area and kids had lots of fun. hope to get $1000 back. we left it cleaner than it was

Great family vacation house

We rented this house with another on the property for a family reunion. Our group consisted of adults and several small children. There was room for everyone and the inside of the house was well taken care of. The beds were comfortable and the layout was great. Having access to the beach and pool was also wonderful for the little ones. We'll definitely stay again!

Fun Atmosphere!

We rented this for a family vacation that included 3 generations. Ozark Yacht Club was fun for everyone! Kids loved the beach and pool...adults loved how close we were to our boat (a slip is included) and the cafe and wine bar. We had 3 couples and 9 children...there are only 2 private bedrooms but it worked pretty well. The top floor has 4 queen beds and there are two sleepers in the great room...and PLENTY of bathrooms. We loved the central location by land and had great fun on the water.

Oak House Lodge Stay

I must say we were very impressed with the house. We had four families staying in the Oak House, and the arrangements couldn't have worked out better. With four children 3 and under every family had their own private area to go when the kids got a little wild. The bedrooms on the lower level and the main level are very spacious. There are two bedrooms on the upper level that are arranged in an L shape. They must share a bathroom and the one bedroom must walk through the other room to go down stairs. This worked out well for us, but I could see it being an issue if privacy was an issue for the two groups staying in those rooms. The house is well equipped, and has all the necessary items a large group would need for their stay. There were a few negatives that I will comment on, which is the reason I did not give this the highest rating. They didn't really significantly diminish our enjoyment, but could be addressed by the management to make the stay even better for the renters. First, we had a leaky refrigerator on the first level that caused us to have to keep putting towels down to soak up the leak. Also, the ice maker didn't work. We addressed this with the management and they sent someone over right away to try and stop the leak. It didn't solve the problem fully, but we managed. Also, the beach was nice but they really need to address the geese issue. The geese ended up pooping all over the property, and I had to go out each morning on a goose poop patrol to pick up the waste so my family could enjoy their visit to the beach. Also, we purchased their "family boat package", and the first day we had the power boat. Unfortunately the weather was cool and rainy, but since it wasn't lightning we still were obligated to take out the boat. We went out but didn't enjoy ourselves. We ran into the same issue the next day and the management did allow us to rearrange our schedule because the rain was much worse. Because of the rearranging of the schedule we didn't get to use the kayaks or the dingy boats, which was a waste of money. We did, however, thoroughly enjoy the sailboat lessons and the rental of the sailboat. We didn't think this would be very fun, since none of us had ever sailed before, but their sailing instructor was great and we had a fun time taking the sailboat out on our own. Next time I will wait until I get there to arrange for the boats.

Beautiful Home

Wonderful home and ammenities and the yacht club community is awesome. Lots of stuff to do, close to lots of things, and the boat slips are very nice. Home was amazing and very spacious.

My daughters, their husbands and children and I spent Thanksgiving in this beautifully appointed home. There were three levels which worked out perfectly for three families. We made Thanksgiving dinner together and the kitchen was very well equipped for cooking such a large meal and we had plenty of seating for all to be together. Each bedroom has a large flat screen television with Charter cable and the living area had a smart tv, dvd player and gaming. The girls and I walked down the road to the wine shop for a bottle of wine and bruschetta while looking at "Yacht-style" gifts. Sunday morning, we went to the Lakeside Cafe for a wonderful brunch. Other than groceries, which aren't far, you really don't need to leave the Ozark Yacht Club area. We thank you for making our holiday stay so pleasant.
