Guests:
It is always recommended that guest purchase additional insurance for their stay.
Please take off shoes and treat the place as you would your own.
The cabin is only suitable for the number of guests you told the host for your stay, please adhere to this occupancy capacity as we do not allow parties on the property. If you do not follow these rules, you may have additional charges.
Please DO NOT tape anything to the walls and/or ceilings.
Wifi:
There is speedy and reliable wifi that you are able to connect to during your stay. It is a DSL and you can use it for streaming and/or zoom calls.
Hot tub:
We are happy to have guests use the hot tub. Please follow instructions at the house. Guests will be responsible for any damage to hot tub or cover as well as any extra fees incurred because of contaminates in the hot tub. ($75 to pump and refill).
Dishwasher:
Anytime you run the dishwasher during your stay, we recommend the heavy duty cycle, run hot water for two minutes before you start the cycle, as it is not the best dishwasher. You may need to hand wash pots and pans to get them clean. Please load and run the dishwasher on a heavy duty cycle before you go. It takes about two hours to run through a whole cycle.
Trash:
Put the trash in the compactor by the mail building, during and at the end of your stay. Trash bags are provided for you under the kitchen sink. Do not store garbage outside. There are bears and other wildlife in the area that will happily dine on your leftovers. We had sightings of bears every year.
Recycling:
If you want to recycle the closest Recycling Center is located on Hayes Tower Road just South of M-32. It is not well marked. Look for a chain link fenced area with two driveways.
Smoking:
Please absolutely no smoking in the cabin, igloo, or hot tub. We provide a smoking tray on the back porch table. Please be mindful to only discard cigarettes in the designated outside trays. We would like to keep the property clean for families, children and nature.
Pets:
Pets are not permitted in the cabin during your stay.
Please Note: smoking or pets in the cabin will result in additional cleaning, possible damage, and potential delays for other guests. Extra fees will be incurred to guest.
Septic System.
The cabin is on a septic system, please only flush towel paper. The septic system cannot handle flushable wipes, tampons, pads, gum etc. It is located at the rear of the house by the back deck, so do not drive vehicles back there.
Lake:
The lake is excellent for both swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing, and ice fishing. There is a designated swimming area by the pool with a dock and a floating dock. Guest are welcome to use the kayaks, canoe and paddleboat, but life jackets MUST be worn. When finished with them, please return the kayaks and canoe to the rack, upside down and lean the paddleboat upright against the tree. Life jackets need returned to the house.
Water levels have been extremely high, however the lake is now receding. If you are operating a watercraft be mindful of the shoreline.
Cameras:
There are two exterior cameras. Which are monitored.
Drinking Water:
The water from the tap is very good for drinking. There is also a purifier located in the fridge.
Yard:
Please keep dirt bikes, four wheelers, SxS, snowmobiles and vehicles off the grass as it does not grow that well. You can park to the right side of the driveway on that grass if needed(west side). Additional parking is located across from the trash compactor too.
Trails:
There are designated trails throughout the subdivision designated for dirt bikes, snowmobiles, etc. The speed limit throughout the subdivision is 25 mph.
Kayaks, Canoe and Paddleboat
All guests must wear U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets and follow the rules of the lake. Any damage to equipment will be the responsibility of the guests. Use caution and enter your own risk. Please return the kayaks and canoe to the rack, upside down. Return the paddleboat in an upright position against the tree. Life jackets go back to the house.
Fires:
Have fires only in the firepit and do not leave it unattended. Please put it out when you are done. There are lights that can be plugged into the shed outlet at night. Chairs and toys are in the shed.
