Finally, a home to come home to on Smith Mountain Lake! This beautiful, contemporary home awaits on a gentle slope down to the lake. Play in the yard all day, or jump off the private dock and swim in the refreshing, deep blue-green waters! Pet fee is per dog per stay. No more than 2 dogs allowed, no puppies

Play by day and relax at night by the fireplace. Enjoy a pool table, dart board, and board games here in your home away from home. The dock has a built-in complete with bar stools, bluetooth speakers and a full-size fridge - perfect for relaxing on the lake.

The beautiful Great Room includes wood floors, a propane fireplace, and cathedral ceilings - a great gathering space for your entire family. The second kitchen downstairs is good for those who need some extra room or for cooking on different schedules.
Maximum occupancy 10 --4 bedrooms, 1 extra room with a bed and 3 baths. All bedrooms come with a TV with fire sticks for streaming videos.

This home is a great find for all who want to enjoy Smith Mountain Lake and its many treasures. The owners wish to make your stay here the best you have ever had on Smith Mountain Lake. The walk to the water is a bit steep with only a few stairs. Not great for wheelchairs or for people that have a hard time walking. Note: We start you off with a fresh roll of paper towels and toilet paper each bathroom. Cleaning fee includes sheets and towels.

Family vacation!

My family and I had a great time here! I would rent this house again! Accommodations were great! We really loved the water! Maybe hard to get to the water if handicapped!

Family vacation

Wonderful stay… house was great with spacious living areas. Loved the pool table and games at house. The dock area was perfect for swimming and our boat for the week. Fishing was excellent on the dock and in and around the cove. Perfect week to relaxation and family fun! Thank you so much for a wonderful place to stay!!

Relaxing lake stay

We enjoyed our stay at Shangri-La. We had extended family with us for a graduation and the house was exactly what we needed. The two bedrooms and full bath on the main level was perfect for the grandparents. The location was so peaceful. The house had everything we needed to cook for the entire family.

Everything was as listed. Beautiful home and property. Spacious for a large crowd. Some great amenities nearby including a lovely winery. We'd stay at this property again without hesitation.

Great house!

Very clean place for a house that allows dogs. I will say that if u have much age on u, it is a steep walk up the hill from the dock. It has a well stocked kitchen and very well maintained yard. I highly recommend this place.

Stay at Shangri-La

The home is wonderful and is stocked well. The dock and boathouse was awesome! It is a steep walk but well worth it! We did bring extra paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, etc. that we did need to use. We also brought our own beach towels which we needed as there were none there. We enjoyed our stay and would do it again!

Great family house

We stayed her for a week in mid July. It was me my husband, his parents, three teenage siblings, and a family friend couple. Even though there were many people in the house we never felt like we're were right on Top of each other. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Amazing spot on the lake for boating and Watersports!

June Family Vacation at Shangrila

We had a great time at the Shangrila! Our first family vacation with the grandkids. They had a blast on the dock fishing for sunfish and relaxing by the water. We fished for striper 4 days and had success everyday and caught some nice smallmouth and largemouth bass as well. We would definitely recommend this rental for a family; very spacious, clean, and in a quiet cul de sac on the water. We will be back next year.

Nice get away

Had a great time with family at the lake. Property had plenty of kitchen and dock supplies. Walk to the dock was very steep - some had difficulty traveling back and forth...one family member was never able to go down. House had issues with bugs inside and on deck.

Great Getaway

We were thankful to find this property after our FL trip was cancelled. The home was nice and very well stocked. It was so well stocked that we didn’t have room for the things we brought. The dock and view were a very nice addition. It was our first time at Smith Mountain Lake and it didn’t disappoint. The home was very comfortable. Absolutely appreciate the living room furniture. We had 7 adults stay for 9 nights and we were all very pleased with our stay. I will mentioned that in the pictures and description it says there is a queen sleeper sofa in one of the downstairs bedroom. It’s actual a queen bed which was a high plus. Would most definitely recommend a stay.

Little slice of heaven

This was our third stay at this property across three different seasons and we’ve loved each visit! The house itself is clean and cozy, bathrooms and both kitchens are well stocked, and checking in/out is very easy! The dock has a great set up and the bar area saves a lot of back and forth for drinks/snacks throughout the day/night. We got a lot of use out of it over the summer, but also enjoyed it during our fall and winter stays. The neighborhood is well maintained and feels very safe. Overall, we have loved visiting the lake and staying at Shangrila! We are excited to come back again in the summer!

Company Fishing Trip

Every year our company takes our top performers on a fishing trip. This year we chose Shangri-La to get some fresh-water fishing in. The house was well stocked, beds comfortable and the house was clean and inviting. Two of us took our boats, so having a boat ramp only minutes away was a bonus. The neighbors were friendly and the Host, Eric, was easy to communicate with and accommodating to our requests. The fishing did not disappoint - one of the guys even caught a citation flat-head catfish! We will definitely return to Shangri-La.

Nice place, steep walk to the lake

Our stay was very pleasant, the property is maintained well and rather spacious inside. The location is quiet, convenient and has good parking for boats on the dock and cars/trailers by the house. It is about 75 yards down an extremely steep hill to get from the house to the dock and some extras were not in working order, ie: no darts, fishing rods are a mess, kayaks are not good and pool table is uneven. No patio covers anywhere in case of rain. And there is no place to leave trash outside, no outside trash cans.

Relaxing stay in a great location

Overall, the property is very good for a week's stay. Nice location and adequate parking space, good functional spare kitchen space and laundry area. Minor problems for our group: access to the dock is much steeper than shown in pictures; the last set of stairs by the water needs a handrail. One of our group has some health issues and it limited his trips to the water due to needing assistance to safely navigate the stairs and steep sidewalk. This should be disclosed in the description / pictures of the property The AC was very slow to cool the house (it was very hot outside) and in looking at the unit, the filters were fully clogged. There were extra filters but they did not fit the unit. Otherwise, everything was great. Thank you for renting to us.

Great spot to vacay

Our two families had a super time at this lake house! The dock is perfect and the water is wonderful on this little cove. We spent hours and hours on the dock, playing in the water, listening to music and just having a blast! Super close to Mitchell’s marina, there is a good restaurant a couple minutes away by boat or car. Grocery stores are a little farther away (20-25 min) so plan ahead. Walmart is 45 minutes away in Alta Vista. Everything in the house was nice. The beds were comfy, the water pressure was good, the two kitchens were supplied with all needed things and the pool table was a lot of fun! The one and only drawback of this house for us was the lack of trash facilities. No outdoor trash nor trash pick up so we had to drive 10 minutes to the dump. This is certainly not a deal breaker as everything else about our stay was great, but it’s very inconvenient.

This house is part of our dream come true and we love sharing the beauty of this lake by hosting you in our home. We live in Northern Virginia and love getting away from the city. The lake is so peaceful and beautiful that it resets the soul, no matter how long the stay.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Being in a cove allows for more relaxation when swimming or floating with the family. We love to Kayak over to the next cove and the dock has a tiki hut bar, "Wet Feet Retreat", that includes a small refrigerator, lights and Bluetooth wireless speakers for playing music. It's great for day and night! There is a pool table, dartboard, cornhole boards and assorted games and puzzles in the basement for your enjoyment or you can sit around the fire pit. We are also very close to Mitchell's Marina for renting boats and/or jetskis. A fireplace in the basement and one on the main floor make this a great fall and winter retreat as well.
