In this 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with a view of the mountains and plenty of wild animals, your entire group can escape the city and enjoy nature. On a working farm, the house is located on 47 acres, with everything you need. Walk up to the heated pool, open May 1st - September 30th, to relax with your friends and family. You can enjoy snacks at the backyard fire pit or walk down the road to see our farmer friend, Mr. Brian, and his cows. You will enjoy peace and quiet in this house.
With 2,000 square feet of space, our ranch house is modern, comfortable, and inviting. It has a beautiful light-colored hardwood floors throughout. You will notice the spacious, bright living room when you walk into the house. Next to the front door is a coat closet where you can hang your coat and leave your shoes.
The living room has various sofas where you can relax, play games, watch TV, or just sit around and relax. You may choose a board or card game from the shelves or read a book and relax. The 55-inch smart TV has Netflix and Hulu accounts and other apps. The home has internet speeds of 500-550 Mbps, making it ideal for streaming from multiple devices.
Walking into the living room, the dining and kitchen areas share a large, open space. The table in the kitchen has seating for six people. Two additional chairs can be found in the hallway closet. A full-sized refrigerator, stove/oven, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, and regular coffee makers, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils are included in the cook-friendly kitchen. All faucets provide clean, filtered well water. There is salt/pepper, sugar, basic seasonings, and olive oil spray.
The hallway leads to a full bathroom with a walk-in shower and a washer and dryer. The first bedroom has a full-size bed with an 8” mattress topper for a softer sleeping experience, a small dresser, a smart TV, and two closets.
The second bedroom is super kid-friendly. It has a full-size daybed, twin trundle, twin bed, and a closet.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, smart TV, two closets, and a full bathroom. It also has a walk-in shower and heat lamp to keep you warm in the winter. One inflatable mattress is available for guest use by request. Both bathrooms have hair dryers.
The front deck is a great space to enjoy the beautiful day and night mountain views. It has a table with chairs for al fresco dining, a propane grill and a propane fire pit to enjoy the cool evenings and roast some s'mores.
The private backyard also has some seating for outdoor dining and a wood fire pit. You're welcome to bring your own firewood, but we also have options available. My daughter has chopped her own firewood into large bundles, which you can purchase for $9 each. If you prefer, you can also pre-request the firewood when you book your reservation.
We provide 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, linens, pillows, towels, blankets, shampoo and conditioner in the master bathroom, and Keurig K-cups in the kitchen. However, you'll need to bring your own paper towels, napkins, etc.
Set up a small mountain amongst the trees, almost 1/2 mile off of the main road—Park anywhere in the driveway, just not in the grass. Your stay includes use of the garage bay nearest to the living space. (Right one when looking at the house.)
There is plenty of space to park an RV or boat on a trailer.
If you bring an EV vehicle, you can access a 240v outlet near the house. You must bring your own charger cord to plug in. There will be an additional charge of $20 per night for this access.
The rental includes the use of the seasonally open heated in-ground pool with a slide and children's swing set. The pool area has multiple lounge chairs and umbrellas, sofas and tables, a ping pong table, and a pool house with a shower/toilet and changing room. Mountain views are also included:) The pool is shared with the other rental on the property. Both the pool and swing set are located next to the host's house and are a short walk up the road. Your rental includes the use of a golf cart to get to the pool. ONLY licensed drivers may drive the golf cart.
Watch your children at ALL times, especially in the pool area. There is a deep end and there is no life guard. Swim at your own risk.
Baby equipment, such as a pack-n-play, high chair, and baby bathtub, can be left in the house for use if requested.
Our two small dogs have a doggy door from our house and may want to visit with you if you are outside. They are both friendly. There are also friendly barn cats on the property that may visit.

Parties, Gatherings, and Smoking are not allowed. If you are planning to have a party or gathering, please note that this will not be tolerated, and your reservation will be immediately cancelled and guests vacated from our property. There is a $1,000 fine for any illegal party or gathering. For any exceptions, you must have our permission prior to your arrival ONLY.

*Excessive messes $80 per hour
*Party fine $1,000 and immediate removal
*Extra guests above the ones on the reservation $150 per guest, per night.
Dogs—We charge a minimal pet fee, so we ask that pets not be allowed in beds or furniture. Removing pet hair is very time-consuming, and our cleaning crew will charge an extra $80 per hour, which we would have to pass on to our guests.
We appreciate your understanding. The fees are the unfortunate result of guests not respecting our home, so we like to disclose this up front. Save your money. It will get expensive if you break the rules.

Hillside Farms- Fresh dairy and visit with animals.
We have lots of great bike trails and state parks nearby.
Frances Slocum State Park has great hiking and biking trails as well as a lake for non-motorized water activities and a playground. It is less than 10 minutes away.
Lackawanna State Park is a beautiful state park with hiking, fishing, boating, picnicking and more. It is approximately 35 minutes away.
Ricketts Glen State park has great hiking trails, a beach lake and amazing water falls. It is about 50 minutes away, but worth the drive for sure.
In the winter, skiing is available at Montage Mountain, 25 minutes away. Many ski resorts in the Poconos are within an hour's drive.

Many restaurants are in the area, but the independently owned ones are the best. Some of our favorites that we recommend are: Agolino’s, Grico’s, Valenti’s, Kevin’s, Fire & Ice, Rikasa, Bravo Tex Mex, Fuji’s Pittston & Canteen Central.
Recommended nearby Italian/pizza places are: Napoli’s, Antonio’s, Demuro’s Pizza, TC Reily’s & Tomasino’s.
