At the level entrance the villa has a spectacular dining room and den which also serves as a 5th sleeping area. Two steps up to the right-side is the bedroom wing comprised of 3 luxurious en suite King Bedrooms, designed with private separation between sleeping areas due to the well-placed closets and baths. Likewise, just two steps down to the left-side wing resides the Chef’s Eat-in Kitchen, Living Room, and King Guest Bedroom #4. Most of the rooms open out to the spectacular backyard and incredible Mountain View.
BACKYARD POOL WITH SPECTACULAR VISTA
Surrounded by spectacular and unique desert vistas, the expansive furnished and beautifully landscaped backyard features a heated, freeform natural stone PebbleTec pool and spa, a substantial boulder fire feature, BBQ grill, tanning lounges, outdoor dining and living areas, and outdoor shower. Pool floats and outdoor games provided.
INTERIOR LIVING SPACES
Once you enter Villa Mariposa you should prepare to be indulged. At first you will be greeted by the formal dining room and den. The dining room seats 10. Two sets of large French doors lead out to a sitting area with a panoramic view of the pool area and vast desert vista beyond. The wrought iron chandelier, a large fireplace, built-in custom cabinetry, and carefully chosen art all add ageless ambiance to this spectacular space.
The Chef’s Kitchen is generously equipped. The large center island houses ample counter space, a copper prep sink, and extra storage. The kitchen is flanked by beautiful granite counters, the hammered copper apron sink, ample cabinetry, and stainless-steel appliances including Viking gas range, a 2nd wall-mounted oven and a separate beverage refrigerator. You’ll find most every small appliance or kitchen tool you desire including espresso maker, ninja food processor, and sharp knives. Choose between vintage and contemporary glassware. A round table seats 4 for casual meals. Completing this space is a countertop filtered water dispenser.
The living room has ample comfortable seating where you will enjoy the 80” Theater Smart TV and the provided board games. This grand open space is anchored by the stone fireplace and surrounded by views of the beautifully landscaped backyard and spectacular Santa Rosa Mountains in the distance.
4 EN SUITE LUXURY KING BEDROOMS + BONUS DEN/BEDROOM
Four bespoke bedrooms, each room featuring 10 foot ceilings, luxury king mattresses/linens, blackout window coverings for a good rest, and a ceiling fan for added comfort. All bedrooms are separated by generous sized closets and/or baths for good sound insulation between sleeping areas.
The spacious Primary Suite is distinguished by a panoramic desert and mountain view that spans the full length of the room. Custom floor to ceiling drapes also span this length to ensure that late risers get all their desired sleep-time. Cuddle up on the sofa in front of the romantic fireplace, and stream your favorite shows on the Smart TV. You might want to read a book in the corner chair while keeping an eye on the action in the pool just outside. The large primary bath has two generous vanity areas, a large walk-in shower and an elevated soaking tub with a view window and zen hearth with LED candles. A large walk-in closet with wall safe completes this sumptuous suite.
The King Guest Bedroom #1 bath features hand-painted yellow Spanish tile, copper sink and fixtures, and a cute display area. There’s a walk-in closet, a small desk area, and wall-mounted TV.
King Guest Bedroom #2 features a unique diagonal wall behind the bed and hand-painted burnt orange Spanish tile in the shower-over-tub bath.
King Guest Bedroom #3 is on the far side of the living room. This spacious room sports a poster bed, plush chair, desk area, and large Smart TV. A door leads to the adjacent full bath with beautiful green Spanish tile and Villa Mariposa’s signature copper sink. This bath also has a jack and jill style second door off the hall, so it serves as the powder bath for guests and the shared bath for anyone staying in the den/5th sleeping area.
The den/5th sleeping area is architecturally unique, with grand decorative double door entry, exposed brick wall panel, raised center beam ceiling with wrought iron chandelier, and a small decorative closet/shelving area. Two additional guests can be accommodated on the comfortable queen sofa sleeper. This bedroom has access to the bath off the hallway that's shared with King Guest Bedroom #3.
LOCATION
The house is located on a quiet street with only 4 other homes and no cross traffic. The elevated location offers epic views over the valley, desert, and mountains in all directions. This area is a walker and hiker's paradise with easy access to trails within a short stroll from the front door. This is a walker's dream location, and you'll meet lots of neighbors and visitors, many with their dogs accompanying them.

You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Max occupancy is 10 people, 5 vehicles.
We strictly enforce the strict Palm Springs rule that does not allow music at any level, at any time, outside the home.
Bonus: The rental rate you see includes a Damage Waiver Fee which covers up to $2,500 in unintended damage to the house during your stay (you must disclose the damage to us).
Well-behaved dogs are welcome. There is a taxable $150 Per Dog Fee. Limit 2. This fee can be added after you book. Official Service Dogs need to be disclosed in advance.
Optional Pool Heating Fee is $89/night and recommended from October through May. Monthly guests pay actual gas and electric utility costs during their stay (instead of a nightly Pool Heating Fee). An Advance Utility Deposit of $1,500/month will be required.
