Unsere Kabine ist sowohl 3-Bett-Zimmer, zwei Bäder Wohnzimmer mit Holzkamin separaten Jacuzzi Zimmer mit Kamin. Hütte hat eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit allem, was Sie brauchen, um einen leichten Snack zum Thanksgiving-Dinner zu machen. Wir haben auch einen Holzkohlegrill. Unser Deck ist groß genug, um Ihre ganze Familie mit zwei Tischen und Stühlen unterzubringen. Genießen Sie den schönen Sonnenaufgang von Deck aus, wie es über die Berge mit Ihren morgendlichen Kaffee oder heiße Schokolade kommt. Wandern Sie durch die Berge rund um die Kabine oder eine kurze Reise zu den lokalen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge oder eine Angeltour auf einem der lokalen Seen und Bäche. Vergessen Sie nicht, um Ihre Mahlzeit begann, bevor Sie in der Topftopf zu lassen, so dass es auf Sie warten, wenn Sie nach Hause kommen.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass es keine Erstattung aufgrund von Straßenbedingungen, deshalb empfehlen wir Ihnen Urlaubsversicherung vor allem in den Wintermonaten zu bekommen ist. Es gibt auch keine Erstattung, wenn Sie Ihren Aufenthalt verkürzen. Nach dem Check-in wird keine Erstattung angeboten. Did not even stay the first night.

We arrived at the cabin. Walked inside and it was freezing. Only space heaters in each room which we plugged in. No light in the jacuzzi room. Fireplace had no wood. Nothing stated we had to cut our own wood or buy some to keep warm. Refrigerator was all rusted on the front outside which is not pictured on the website. After about an hour or so the rooms felt no less warm with the small space heaters. My kids were freezing. We tried calling and texting the host with no answer. My husband took videos and photos of the pace. The outside ramp felt like we were going to fall through it due to it being old. We had to leave and didn’t even stay the first night. Host never returned our phone call or text message. Waste of money

Ruined our whole weekend

Wasnt clean, dead bugs all over the floor, fridge was all rusted and not clean inside, oven doesnt work, no firepit on porch, smelled like mildew and mold, mold behind both toilets, air conditioners taped into windows ramp needs fixed, the road to get their is terrible and not even safe,. We didnt even saty and had to get a hotel room instead

Two times is the charm

We stayed at this cabin last year and we were mesmerized by the view and the ample space for our family of 7. With 3 bedrooms,2 full bathrooms, a jacuzzi,a kitchen, a spacious deck,and a river right at the bottom of the mountain what more can you ask for when getting away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Hummingbear cabin will always have a special place in our hearts. We have made beautiful memories just at this cabin alone.No issues what so ever with our stay. Again I repeat for those of you staying in the cabin it is steep getting up to the cabin, if you are not use to driving on gravel/ uphill then have someone more experienced drive the vehicle up the mountain,2 of my kia fortes made it up fine last year, this year we opted for my fathers F150 definitely felt the difference, but not impossible with a smaller vehicle just take it nice and slow with enough give and push where needed (trust me you will know when). It is the middle of the woods expect critters running around those of you that can’t stand bugs find somewhere more fitting that is not in natures home, don’t be bougie in the woods/nature. The cabin is fully equipped w the things necessary to cook a nice stove top meal or do as we did and barbecue outside none of my family members complained of our awesome grilled food. Another great thing it’s so far away from people you have nothing but privacy the closest neighbors you have are literally a block away. Thank you again humminbear cabin.

Not what we expected

I will say that after going back and looking at the pictures, it does look exactly as posted. But once we got to the house we were not impressed. We booked for several nights and ended up not staying a single night after driving 6 hours. My toddler walked around inside the house while we unpacked the car and her feet were disgusting! We packed food for the entire week because we didn’t plan to leave the cabin- but once we got there we found a hand written note saying that the oven/stove was not working. But also “sorry for the bugs” which was another turn off. I mentioned we have a little one- and the deck was soooo unsafe for her. She would not be able to sit outside and enjoy the weather with us! — I will say you pay for what you get. We went the cheap route and found that obviously wasn’t the best option. I mentioned earlier we never even stayed a night- we immediately packed up again and went to find a hotel!! We did not feel at home or comfortable to stay a week.

Love the view but cabin is run down

We stayed here about 10 years ago when we were 20 years old and we absolutely love this place. We talk some from friends into staying and it was horrible. The coffee pot was moldy and the filter was still full of coffee ground. The pots and pans were gross and we ended up buying our own set and utensils to cook because it was so gross. The DVD didn't work at first but thankfully we had a IT with us to reprogram the Remote so we got it to work. The whole cabin has just not been taken care of and we were really disappointed with our stay

Don’t use this rental

The drive to the cabin was rough but as long as the weather is fair then it’s not much trouble. After getting to the cabin and inspecting the rooms we found that there was pet pee stains in the carpet and a hole in one of the bedroom doors. The deck was in horrible shape and would wobble when you walked on it, there was even holes in spots. We also found bed bugs and evidence that someone had tried to treat for them. So the property manager was aware of them. We was in the cabin for a grand total of about 30 minutes and had to find another place to stay for our vacation. When we reported this to the manager and asked for the refund we got less than half of our rental fee back. The property manager said he had to pay someone to clean the cabin out of rental. The cabin had roaches in the sink and spiderwebs throughout it so this wasn’t clean when we got here

Horrible

We were unable to reach the cabin by car. When my sister and I WALKED up to the cabin while waiting on a tow truck to get my car out,the ramp was extremely unsafe. The porch is in major disrepair. We were unable to even get into the property. I had both of my disabled parents waiting in my car and there is no way they could access the property. We were unable to stay at the property. A lot of wasted money.

STEEP RAMP!!!

Would not recommend for people with disabilities. Ramp is extremely steep. Too steep for me to roll up on my own and im pretty fit. The deck is in dire need of repair. The back wheel of my chair broke through twice and had to have help getting out. Pretty scary. ( me and the chair weigh 165 total) the road to the cabin is TREACHEROUS! 4 wheel drive not needed, but highly recommended and if you are in a vehicle the size of an Expedition, you can forget about making the last two turns. Other than that, our stay was fine

Would never stay there

This was so bad. When i got there it had a mold smell to it. I noticed that the beds had bugs on them. When i called and talked to the owner about this i was told that he had it sprayed for normal things. The refrigerator is rusted on the outside bottom. I asked since i was not staying there and why about my money back and he refused. I was told to have a good trip. You have to have a 4 wheel drive truck to get up to the cabin which it did not mention it was 2 cabins in one. I nor any of my family or friends will ever stay at any of his properties

So nice we booked it twice.

I want to start by saying what an exquisite view. We come from the city so we wanted to get away for the holiday, we packed all the essentials and then some. It is a cabin in the mountains people!!!The cabin is gorgeous, the property is well kept, the heaters work, the bugs its nature, the kitchen is fully equipped, it was mentioned the oven does not work but the stove top and the microwave did. We grilled every single day, brought our own projector for movie nights. In regards to the exact location we managed to figure out how to climb the mountain with our small vehicles (kia fortes), It is steep, it is on top of the mountain, this was our first time and although it was intimidating we made it up and down several times with ease. You cant beat the price, you cant beat the location, you cant beat the view, you cant beat the calm and quiet, you cant beat the professional and quick communication from the owner. I promise if you are eyeing this place do it you will not regret it. We loved it so much we booked it again days before we even checked out perfect place for our family of 7. Thank you Hummingbear cabin for the great memories and the ones yet to come.

Gorgeous views!

The drive up to this mostly secluded cabin was beautiful and a bit tricky…make sure whatever you’re driving has a very good turn radius! My Tahoe did just fine, but my husband’s Sierra would have been at least a 5 point turn on a couple of those curves. Spring in the mountains brought quite a few 6 legged visitors in to the cabin. Except for the crickets, the bugs we did see were dead or dying. The crickets were mainly in the bathrooms and liked to be peeping tom’s while I was taking showers. There is a pack of dogs, four that I saw, who make it their personal mission to guard this part of the mountain. Three little ones and a white bulldog mix. They talk a big game, but they won’t come near you. Careful on the roads…they’ll run right out in front of you and one will stand in the middle like a crossing guard. This happened on three separate occasions lol. This is an older house! If you’re going for luxury, keep looking. If you want peace, quite, nature, and amazing views…this is the place! And for those who can’t unplug completely, the reception (Verizon) here is perfect.

The place was nice ,the road up was pretty steep but I made it up in a van so as long as you follow the instructions your good but when we rented the place I was aware that the oven would not work but it stated that the stove worked and it did not also none of the dvd players worked and the one that did did not have a remote to press play for movies I paid for 2 nights ended up only staying one wasted would be a great place I it was just taken better care of

Great mountain experience

I've seen a lot of bad reviews of this place. It's true that the driveway is scary at first. It is doable though. It is also true that it is not five star hotel clean (It's a good price though so, you can't have it all). There is a real live fireplace. It is there and a main source of heat. There is two really good heaters. We made a fire and we did bring two little space heaters with us. We had a great experience though! The wood is expensive around town but there is a place that we found on Upper middle fork road (coming out of pigeon forge) that sales wood. The guy's name is Wayne and you can't find better people! If you want to just be a regular tourist seeing attractions this place might not be for you because it does require work but if you are like me, you actually get to see what the people in this place live like. It was the best experience that I've had in the mountains.

The property is not being kept up. The oven did not work and according to the reviews, it hasn't worked since July. The ramp has rotten boards. The commode in master bath had to be plunged at least 3 times. The beds were uncomfortable. There were not enough heaters to keep the place warm. We have 11 rentals at home. We fix them to keep them in good shape.. The heating is central heating and air. When an appliance tears up, we get it fixed. We put them another one in while it is being fixed. We will not rent this one again.

Excellent stay!

Met up with some family to stay here and had a great time! It's a cozy little cabin on top of the mountain and honestly the last curve on the road up was the worst part about the entire stay but if we had a shorter truck it wouldn't have been so difficult but we all survived. Lol The cabin is older and doesn't have all the bells and whistles like the newer ones but it has a STELLAR view and was plenty big enough for 4 adults and 3 children and made for a great getaway! We would definitely book this place again, you can't beat this price! $100 a night won't get you luxury but it'll give you memories to last a lifetime!

Very disappointed

We wasn't able to get to the cabin it was very rough roads and narrow. My friend that was with has cancer it was so hard on her we was not able to go the rest of the way. Next I will look at the reviews more carefully. I am sorry I can't rate my vacation at all with ya'll. It would be nice if we could have been competitive for half of the money we payed on the rental. The property was fine. We didn't plan on hanging out all day in the house so we werent there for the lavish stuff. Parking more than one vehicle up at the house was hard to do but not impossible. The view was awesome.

I was very disappointed and dissatisfied in the conditions of the property. I understood that the property was older but the cleanliness was far from even being subpar. There was hair in both showers, the toilet bases has mold and dirt so thick, the ceiling fans have dirt piled up when we turned on the ceiling fan dirt fell onto us. All fans don’t have proper light bulbs, the fan in the master was so loud that we could not even use it. The air conditioner in that room was also not usable due to it being so loud. The stove was not fully functioning the microwave was cracked along the bottom. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Overall the property has not been maintained their are trees growing in the gutters, there is dirt caked up on the rock wall around the fireplace, there is food on the walls behind where the trash can is in the kitchen, the refrigerator is filthy and just over all dirty everywhere. this has led us to needing to find a new place for the remainder of our stay due to health reasons as the dirt in the property caused some of our allergies to get very bad and an asthma flare up I understand that the property is in the woods and dust may occur but this dust/dirt is not just from a day it’s built up from months of not being taken care of. I do want to say the one positive was the owners very thorough instructions on getting to the property.
